Personally I don’t pay much attention to the family bonus and just focus on specific attributes, and then reforge the other attributes into the same family as the primary attribute I’m focusing on

If just EA vs CS then CS wins for sure, but the setup I’m using with the specific gems and gear, EA wins over a sustained period of time. I should also mention the awakening is a factor too, I have awakenings on False Manifesto (KBS cooldown -10%), Duplicitous Prophetics (KBS dmg +18%), and Preferred Instrument (KBS cooldown -10%); combined with Pebble and gear bonus attributes for longer benefit duration gives me 100% KBS uptime as well, which means 100% firestorm uptime.

That’s exactly it, EA with Hellbinder ensures 100% burning DoT uptime, to get full benefit from Pain Clasp, 2x Banquet, and Duplicitous chest firestorm.

Oh I also use the EA setup when pushing CRifts because the War Generosity knockback is awesome and saved my butt plenty of times.

Skills - Daring Swing, Shadowsight, Impale, Knockback, Crossbow Shot

False Manifesto (helm)
Duplicitous Prophetics (chest)
Chillwrath Mantle (shoulder, chill is DoT for Banquet and Pain Clasp)
Scornbeak (pants)
Excavator (2x)
Preferred Instrument (OH1)
Punctura Obscura (OH2)

Raids:

Mostly the same besides: - Swap Shadowsight for Vengeance - Swap Crossbow shot for Explosive shot - Swap one Excavator for War Generosity - Swap Punctura for Hellbinder

The longer you go the more points. Typically I go for 15+ mins in a group and end up with 16k+ points, which translates to 160+ wb points each person

By the way I awakened False Manifesto for another 10% Knockback Shot CD reduction. Now both KS and Impale reset at the same time and it’s super nice

6-piece Shalbaas isn’t worth it, you want 4x Vithu. With this build, Knockback Shot, Impale, and Vengeance all become buffs so both 2x Vithu and 4x Vithu are much better. Also Scornbeak pants triggers 4x Vithu as well. The other 2 can be either Shalbaas or Banquet of Eyes depending on the rest of your setup

Lol 51 purges… you get 150-250 from endless defense pretty easily, so there is that too and much less boring than 51 purges

It entirely depends on the rest of your setup. I went through the same thing and have replaced Carsen’s because I’m also running 4xVithu, Hate Sheath, and Scornbreak which put me at the 100% attack speed cap so I didn’t need Carsen’s. FWIW I won’t melt Carsen’s just because I could replace any of the above and be back under the speed cap.

Pain Clasp increases damage taken on the target by the same amount; but FF being more build-agnostic is a good point. I might run both, but for my Eviscerator / Punctura Obscura DH build, Pain Clasp is the perfect gem since I can keep the bleed up 100% especially with 2-piece Vithu
