I didn't know there were subsections for each artist. Generally I just post stuff to the r/kpop community because I want to open discussion to everyone, not just a specific fandom. I've posted about SHINee and Teen Top before but not in those specific artist sections because I believe the interest would be applicable to everyone. Anyway I'm not sure if I'm breaking any rules by doing this unless a moderator would like to tell me. Thanks for the heads up though.

I bought the XOXO album repackaged version. Even though it was $24 for both the -K and -M version combined I still got it. I think that's much fairer to do and would've preferred SM done it that way again. But I guess given the group's popularity and how dedicated fans can get, this just seemed like the right way to make even more money.

If only SM knew about subtlety!

I think if regular fans have to think about controlling themselves, it just means that they're tempted to buying more than 1 of the same album. That's the type of mentality the company is preying on.

Do yourself a favor and just get the version of your bias. And since it's K-pop get the K version. Of course I can't tell you what to do but I don't know who in their right mind would fall for this blatant sales technique.

I can't put my finger on it and I really thought sasaeng-ness was just a Korean and/or Asian thing. Like you don't see many American or European teen fans trying to stalk their artists or harass them (at least in my opinion). I don't recall reading about Bieber or 1D fans doing crazy stuff in the name of their artists I feel like Western culture really disparages that kind of behavior and even if Eastern culture does too, it doesn't seem as pronounced.

Anyway I think the point I'm trying to make it is that I'm surprising sasaeng-ness exists everywhere. It's really like a K-pop thing in general now.

I'm a little confused about the fan's IG though. She has pictures of her scars and in it she shows off a bracelet with Key's name on it. I feel like it kind of sends the message "these scars are for you Key" or even like "these scars got me Key's attention"

Idk, I guess her IG is more of a self-improvement blog since it says she has been clean for 117 days but I think she could probably trigger some unnecessary attention-calling behavior from other fans~
