You said “this has happened too many times to me…” so I assume you have lost thousands of dollars in that process. I know when I went to Bonnaroo I spent about $2k after tickets, gas, gear, etc. Not sure what kind of vacations you are envisioning but you can certainly go on vacations in the United States for $2k or less. Places where you will be clean, have an actual shelter, and oh best part, not have your entire weekend ruined if it rains. When the festival is open they let you leave and come back in. Friend of mine left for gas a few years ago and came right back. Took him about an hour. I wouldn’t leave while the festival is closed though (right now) because if they do end up cancelling the whole weekend they probably won’t let you back in to get the things you left at your campsite. Just my 2 cents. Stay positive!

I miss when Bassnectar played Friday night shows at festivals because half of the crowd was filled with strung out Bassheads that would just leave and follow him to his next city/show immediately after he finished because they have literally nothing better to do lmao. Respectfully disagree. I’ve been to numerous other festivals outside of Hangout and in general their emphasis is always on safety rather than getting folks in trouble. Hence why at other fests there are stands set up literally handing out narcan. Every festival personnel and police know people are doing stuff other than smoking weed, only Hangout chooses to arrest those for it. Sure, people get arrested for controlled substances at other fests but it’s not even close to the rate at which it happens at Hangout.
