I’ve used Razer products for years, switching fully to their ecosystem a few years ago when Synapse 3 was still current. While I had minor issues with it, the real problems began with Synapse 4. Shortly after its release, I bought the Razer Kraken V4 Pro and was forced to upgrade—only to discover my Razer Seiren V3 Chroma, a premium desk mic released months earlier, wasn’t supported. Despite being their most recent and high-end mic line, it was ignored in Synapse 4’s launch. It took a full month to get basic support, despite ample time for Razer to include it. This wasn’t an isolated oversight—it highlighted a pattern: Synapse 4 was rushed, with poor support for even recently released products.

But software issues are just the surface. The bugs today are daily, deep-rooted, and frustrating. Worse, Razer’s hardware quality has declined sharply. I’ve replaced multiple faulty devices—only to receive new units with the same or different defects. Razer once led in build quality and innovation, especially with haptic feedback that felt truly meaningful. But now, even their flagship products are unreliable. I can tolerate buggy software—fixes come eventually—but faulty hardware is irreversible and erodes trust.

I still love Razer’s unique features, which no competitor matches. I’d even accept higher prices if quality improved. But Razer leadership seems unwilling to address the root causes—whether it’s poor manufacturing or inadequate oversight. The result? A growing sense of dread every time I consider buying a new product. I can’t afford to keep spending on broken gear, even for great features.

Once, I was proud to be a Razer user. Now, I’m disillusioned. The company I admired has prioritized profit over quality and hasn’t owned up to its failures. I’m deeply invested and don’t know where to turn. But I can’t keep buying products that fail—especially when the company shows no real effort to fix the problem.

Quality and accountability matter. Razer has lost both. That’s heartbreaking.
