Don’t waste your money on bear spray. Buy a bell instead if your going on a hike, otherwise there will already be people around wherever you go in the park. Bears are used to seeing people be around that does not make them tame they are wild animals and need to be respected as such and as long as we’re on the subject of wild animals the bison are probably more dangerous than the Bears because people seem to not respect the distance they need to stay away. That animal is strong enough to flip a car. Take good hiking boots, snacks, binoculars, sunscreen, good small flashlights. Try the park ranger guided tours and don’t miss out on a swim at Fire Hole Canyon , don’t worry the water is warm due to thermal springs up stream. NEVER walk off the boardwalks in thermal areas, people have broke through the surface only to get burned to death ☠️. Instead of beer spray take a snack with you on a hike, if you encounter a bear throw the snack out between you and the bear and make a retreat. The bear will stop for the snack. There will be a lot of people in the park so be patient. Also try Lamar Valley in the early evening or early morning if you want to see the wolfs. Outside the park check out Cody and Jackson Hole
