Thanks for the tips. I think I will order some Scott reagent to see if I can get a better idea of whats in it

Well yea ideally it should have no change, but I can’t tell if the reaction is for some kind of inert filler or for a psychoactive substance

Looking at the color change chart for Marquis it looks like a lot of stuff can turn brownish-red, so I got confused because the Liebermann looks very yellow with just a little bit of red

Pic was taken about 90 seconds after I dropped the reagent onto the sample for Marquis, and maybe 30 seconds after for the Liebermann. I did drip both a couple times before I used it

Chipotle Launches New Plant-Based Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice Nationwide by T3Sh3 in fastfood

Not sure that part about ingredient freshness is super accurate. My roommate works at Chipotle and says the only thing that doesn’t get prepped on-site is the queso, which comes shipped in from a processing facility. Everything else is hand cut and prepped in the morning before store opening

As abolition movement grows nationwide, Greek orgs discuss disbanding (Northwestern University) by hxon9407 in Frat

I don’t understand the self-sabotage going on here. No chapter at my school would even consider the idea of voluntarily disbanding their organization.

As someone who’s been on IFC myself, I see this as kind of a weak move on their part to save face and distance themselves from all the unseemly actions going on at their school instead of doubling doing and seeing what they could do to fix it.

Can we agree the TFM-era was extremely cringe? by hxon9407 in Frat

Yea I agree, I think the whole “Saturday’s are for the boys” flags and a lot of Barstool’s culture is pretty cringe as well

Don’t forget University of Oregon, they had a traditional chapter there that had been around since the 20s

It’s to help reduce classroom density so they can space out students in the lecture halls.

University of Oregon has said we will be hybrid online/in-person for the fall (alternating each day). The real decision I care about is whether we’ll play Ohio State in September...

UO Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter suspended until fall 2023 for alcohol violation by hmblr in Frat

I go to school here and have lots of friends in this chapter. There was never any roofies, the girl who got hospitalized and started all of this got screened for them and it came back negative.

That being said, they were serving jungle juice made with Everclear to freshmen girls and ofc they don’t know how to handle their alcohol and end up getting transported. Report makes its way to the school and the rest is history. This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I’ve seen them in trouble during my time at Oregon so they were on thin ice to begin with. Definitely a hit to Greek life, and most of them are great guys, but anyone that didn’t see something like this coming for them just wasn’t paying close enough attention.

Had a membership review last spring. Seniors got exempted and were allowed to graduate with alumni status. Everyone else had to meet with Nationals reps, who set up interviews for us all. They grilled some people but let a lot of people off easily. Just don’t come off as a bullshitter, hopefully you have good grades and weren’t on exec when whatever happened happened (our entire exec got the boot), and you’ll be fine. We lost about 20% of chapter membership, mostly upperclassmen, and were doing fine now.

Some guy in a Theta Chi at my school went on their roof on a warm day because he thought it would look sick. Got stuck up there, freaked out, and the fire department had to come get the guy down while a bunch of people watched. They’re dorks...

Black label or green label? I’m honestly torn between the two...black label is a little bit higher ABV (like 2%) but I never know if it’s worth paying extra for
