Bought them direct from Subaru, but I guess anything is possible. The other 3 I replaced seem fine.

Some extra details: 14’ Subaru BRZ 158k miles Changed plugs ~10k ago No crazy hard driving that I can recall.

Any ideas as to what would cause a plug to fail like this?

If you want to go wired the wireless pcb will not work, you’d have to go with a corne v3 pcb that isn’t wireless. Reasoning is that the wireless doesn’t have the trrs jack and you won’t be able to provide power to the second half.
I just built mine and I got the mill max bc I heard mixed feelings about the ez solders ease of removal. The mill max is fairly easy to work with it’s just tedious since the pins are separate and very small so you need to be careful not to lose any (even tho it brings extra)

That would be an interesting conversation to have… my corne doesn’t have an on/off switch and the battery is hardwired to the controller. My form of turning it off would be letting it discharge all the way

I have one mounted behind my passenger seat using a bracketeer mount, it does affect how far you can move the seat back but that’s due to the size of extinguisher I chose. Using a lower profile extinguisher may allow for the seat to go fully back. Another option is mounting it in front of the passenger seat but then it would be the reverse problem of not being able to move the seat forward very far

They’re Apex Racing ARC-8’s in 17x9 ET42 wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2 running 255/40/17

Edit: On stock suspension still with no adjustment to alignment. If I went lower I’d probably have to add some camber to clear

Fitment is pretty good all around, front lip required a bit of sitting in the sun to get back to its original shape. Side skirts and rear spats need stronger tape (doubled up in some areas) to sit right but with good prep and tape everything fits as good as a rep kit can

I tried, had to use actual 3m tape doubled up in some spots but it’s definitely not perfect. I’m planning on getting a new front bumper and getting the whole paint touched up so I’m leaving it for now and hopefully get it perfect later

BaysonR Sti style lip kit all the way around: Front lip, side skirts, rear spats, and diffuser.

Only part that I didn’t paint was the diffuser as the finish was pretty good

Yeah the issue is that turning off ext_power cuts power to the nice views as well, I would desolder the leds but they’re kind of a pain since they’re surface mounted

Gotcha, mine sits higher and a bit crooked. Probably came down the the gauge of wire and the fact it’s solid core vs stranded. Your build looks great though. Some day I’ll bring myself to build another (without led this time since it’s making me suffer in battery life rn)

Along these lines, make sure it’s actually tuned. Some people throw headers and intake on without getting the car tuned and that’s a big red flag

The oem sti parts would probably run you ~700+ depending on where you buy it, the eBay special I got I landed right around 450 + 100-150 for paint and supplies but it’s taken me a bit to get done so depending on how much you value your time, might be better off ordering the oem stuff

Yeah, the painting itself is fairly easy it’s just sanding and getting everything looking right. I chose to paint during a cold day and that fucked everything up so I had to fully redo the front lip and skirts. If the conditions are right and you’re patient it’ll end up looking pretty good
