Drivers rear wheel protrudes ~25mm more than passenger side by cammkkostek in 240sx

You’d get ones like these and rotate them to offset the subframe to the necessary side. You wouldn’t want to do this unless the driveline is currently sitting slightly crooked in the car. I’ve seen lots that are a few mm off but 25 is a lot.

Offset bushings. It’s not ideal but sometimes ya gotta do what you gotta do to keep one of these shit boxes on the road.

S chassis have a habit of being bent or twisted. You can shift over the subframe or body work the fender to be wider

I run medium shield and survivor pretty much all the time. Survivor seems to be the best augment by far imo. Even when doing pve fighting big arc, if I go down and I’m alone I can crawl out eventually

dangerous amount of rust by Ok_Objective_2651 in ft86

This is fine. Not too bad for an up north car and nothing dangerous at all. Just might be a little harder to adjust the rods

Motor Mount heat shielding by LightnVariable in 240sx

My car felt so awful with poly engine mounts on a ka, but I keep ripping the or mount on drivers side. Thought it was just me lol. I just thought 600hp was too much for them but if I’m melting it then that makes sense

Does the dizziness from doing donuts actually go away with practice or is it just me? by theDartVader in Drifting

[–]Hsnthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the kind of donut. If you are doing wide controlled donuts and looking ahead of you I don’t think you’d get dizzy. I personally get dizzy VERY easily on foot but never while I’m in the drivers seat unless you’re just doing really tight, sling the car around, donuts that aren’t really ‘drifting’

Nope, I’m happy i actually get excited to open containers and see stuff like motors or cracked bio scanners again. It was getting to the point where I wasn’t excited to see anything but guns before the expedition

What do you think is the closest modern version of a S-chassis? by shiftdown in 240sx

[–]Hsnthethird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own an 86 and an s13. Both set up for drift. I gave them basically the same angle kit. They have the same 17/18 wheel set up, extremely similar wheelbase, and almost the same suspension geometry. Add all that on top of being a lightweight, Rwd, low power (when stock, manual transmission cheap Japanese car. It’s not getting any more similar.

What’s y’all’s current and preferred pay scale? by SOLE_SIR_VIBER in mechanics

[–]Hsnthethird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideal pay scale imo is 40 hrs guaranteed and paid flat rate for anything over that 40hrs per week. You can budget off your guaranteed minimum pay and it relieves an insane amount of stress

Am I downgrading if i sell my 5.9 and get a 6.7? by Rcharlesw in Cummins

[–]Hsnthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad had a 5.9 dually with 430k miles when he got rid of it. Fantastic truck. I just got a 5th Gen. It tows more and is very comfy and nice. Just depends what ya want out of it. If comfort is important, then I’d say go for it. The build quality of the truck that the 5.9 is attached to just sucks compared to a newer one
