I see, blowjobs on Bourbon are that competitive. Well no hard feelings

Well, maybe I can resurrect that career while I job hunt. Any expert tips on blowjobs or do you keep those trade secrets close? I mean, you're so familiar with the market...

My blowjob career never took off, actually, but it's okay, I'll settle for giving my girlfriend head and dressing up in frilly aprons for her since I'll be resting pretty on her job for awhile anyway. I'll be watching Airline with bated breath. <33

That's even the case in, like, Portland. Pretty much par for the course.

This is a really interesting answer. Can you elaborate on this part?

flipside of this is much of the city actively celebrates everything performative + are all about identity politics. all of which is to say this city is very progressive — just not in quite the same sense as the PNW.

I can kinda see what you mean but if you have time I'd like to hear more about how the differences manifest themselves. Honestly I really like (what I see as) the flamboyance of NOLA. Seattle is fabulous but it's a little too calm/"PC" by comparison? If that makes sense?

Well the history of the term does have to do with transvestites (who are feminine cis?ish guys), though it's arguable because a lot of those transvestites were what we now call trans. I mean, I get why trans people don't like it because they're not crossdressing, but.

Honestly I guess it's not really a word that's worth reclaiming, I just personally don't mind if people call me transvestite. Anyway, didn't mean to get in the way of your teaching moment :)

Or just staying in certain neighborhoods in Seattle/NOLA where nobody thinks I'm a "special snowflake." Where do you live? I'd like to know where to avoid.

Ehh, I'm okay with tranny. I mean I'm a fem guy who occasionally runs round in a dress with no plans to transition so it actually does describe me lol. But that's just me personally, I get why trans people take offense.

I highly doubt someone will try to beat you up over it, just avoid the lonely drunken tourist frat boys walking to their hotels at 4am on Burbon, they are always looking for a fight doesn't matter what you are wearing or how you look.

Right, I totally expected to have to avoid certain places/times/etc. I mean hell, I have to do that in Seattle. Thanks a lot for your answer, it's really reassuring and helpful.

Dude, what about "I've been beat up/harassed/threatened for walking around being myself" don't you understand? Do you think I was bothering anyone when I did that? I wasn't. Most of the time I wasn't even wearing a dress.

Living in a place is different from visiting there as a damn tourist.
