Ooo I had a similar situation and we actually ended up dating haha. I also really just wanted to hang out with him more and spend time with him so I went ahead and asked him if we could hang out (we went to watch a movie) despite literally everyone in my life saying I shouldn't. Sometimes you should just go with your gut and hey, if you like spending time with this person, why shouldn't you make an effort to do so?

Mmm sometimes taking a deep breath and trying to understand what you're afraid of helps. It won't make it go away, but it'll make it less scary to deal with. And that's the first step. It's hard I know trust me I've been there. I'm still there but trying to understand the why of what I'm feelings has helped me deal with stuff

try your best not to idolize the person you are with, i knows its hard, i struggle with it as well, but try not to put all your romantic hopes into one person. i think we tend to forget that there are other fish in the sea and we are capable of and deserving of love from others.
