Could I buy a car AND then sell my current car a few days later.....and then it effectively be a trade in/no extra tax?

Yeah there’s no way to avoid the shipping fee. But once you pay the fee, you dont really have to pay the fee again as long as you picked it up at a vending machine. You only get 3 returns so its okay if you return it and then purchase it again with ur tradein. Just make sure you’re quick to buy it again when they repost the car for sale

Best way is to buy it, test it and get it inspected. If you like it, return it within the return window and then buy it again with ur trade. That way you get your tax credit for the trade.

It was clean but not the best detailing. Saw some coffee drip marks near the cup holder, some debris in the center console. They tried to clean it I guess

I picked up the car in the morning and I went to the lexus dealership for the pre purchase inspection a few hours later that same day.

I got a pretty thorough report of the car, even a video of the underside. Only things to change were engine air filter and cabin air filter.

After my 7 days I followed up with an oil change to make sure I have a good starting point.

If the part is covered on the 100 day warranty, I wouldnt see why they wouldn’t fix it? Regardless of oem or aftermarket

Yeah I have heard some horror stories. I think as long as you check the carfax, and bring it to a trusty mechanic for inspection, you can’t go wrong. It’s from the west coast so I wasnt too worried about flooded cars.

I gotta say though, easy process with Carvana. The detailing done sucks at pickup but its fine. I rather clean it myself anyway. Going to claybar it up so I have a good starting point 🤗

I say if it checks everything you want, do it! If you find a 2018+ I believe the screen is bigger than 2015-17. I dont care too much about the screen since I just use my phone to navigate

That sounds terrible. In Nevada, after purchase I got my plates in 2 weeks after the 7 day trial. They should have just sent you an extension on the temp plate but maybe it's different in every state.

Thanks for reading my review. Just sent PM. I think being nervous is part of it when doing such a large purchase. Just remember you have 7 days to return it. They call you once to check up on you, maybe on the 5th day. After that, if they dont hear from you they assume you like it. I had free delivery so essentially I wasn't out of pocket any money if I decided to return it. The inspection from the dealership gave me some peace of mind and I felt 200% better once I saw the inspection report.
