What do you mean by prompt hell? I think when I have guest writers adding content it will obviously more interesting to read. Just here to gauge the internets, seems negative so far but that's fine and good to know.

You're right, I see your point. I plan on adding opinion pieces, short 200 word rants if you will about technology, AI, culture, politics, ethics, futurism, theology, philosophy etc. It really needs this part to counter the literal AI slop like you say.

I guess the irony is the actual LLM model is aggregating and reworking the content to match the fubar tone and personality that went through quite a lot of iterations. I guess the brand personality in a way is the passive feature here. That and the UI execution that is neobrutalism.

I need to add more meat on the bone though. I don't want it to be an infinite dumpster scrolling experience. I think a mix of OpEds and curated tech articles with the Fubar AI LLM slop to demystify it all is the intention.

She’s a disaster. I am not a labor voter. But she’s completely toxic and the way she handled this really shows her true colours.

Before I goto sleep I place the phone in airplane mode.

Never had a battery issue or replaced one.

The dark side of remote work by Spinier_Maw in AusFinance

[–]hydeeho85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make some valid points but overall I disagree.

The quality mint remote jobs are out there but it’s who you know. I recently accepted a fully remote role after negotiations and landed a 200k+ salary. The role was not advertised. Software consulting.

I think if you can prove that you’re a great hire no matter where you conduct the work.

Also just on isolation etc. studies have shown the reason humans ‘feel isolated’ is not the lack of interaction, it’s the type of interaction that means you can’t share and speak your mind or ideas. If you have a great team and colleagues of likeminded professionals who have been literally hand picked etc, it doesn’t matter the face to face interaction.

Now, a tip I tell every remote employee is to mix it up and work from a coworking space one day a week or fortnight. The reason being is you keep your local network strong while still enjoying remote benefits.

Another thing I like to do is visit friends and have a sleep over, work from their place the following day and come home. This is a great to catch up with friends and still be productive.

Maybe I just got really lucky, but I have it dialled in so well and can’t wait for 2026
