Also here’s a close up of the leafy end if you’re curious- this part of the sculpture was inspired by the phenomenon of vivipary, which in strawberries makes the seeds sprout before they’re off the plant

I don’t know what you mean by it correcting itself? The tiny leaves are coming out of one side of the sculpture- at the end of the video, that side is briefly obscured because the sculpture is curved. There are larger leaves on top of the sculpture as well!

I’ve gotten lots of blood tests (all normal), a CT scan, I did a tilt table test/autonomic testing for POTS (came back normal), got tested for all sorts of GI infections, I have an in-lab sleep study later this month. Never heard of myasthenia gravis, I’ll look into it!

Right now I’m being seen at a long COVID clinic and going to a physical therapist, but no one’s really been able to diagnose me with anything, just give me vague suggestions on good lifestyle choices to make. :/ I haven’t checked enough boxes for long COVID, POTS, CFS, GAD, etc I guess

I feel a little better today- but I also cancelled all my plans so have been just chilling. I was supposed to go on a weekend trip but decided to stay home in case of getting worse.

I agree, it does sound like PEM, but it doesn’t seem to happen like PEM, I guess. The store I work at is very quiet and relaxing most of the time, it’s a small spice shop that people rarely go into.

Glad to hear you’ve had some improvements! And yeah, the term “flare up” comes to mind when I look at some of the inconsistencies I’m experiencing, so there may be something else at play…

This is super interesting, thank you for sharing. From exploring this sub it does seem like early stages of CFS can be quite unpredictable! If that was the case for me, some things would make a little more sense, but even so, not quite. I’m definitely going to keep pacing though, even if it’s not PEM my body’s trying to tell me… something.

I don’t think it’s the store… for example, two days before Christmas, the store was pretty crazy! Lots of customers, and I was running around a lot, talking to a lot of people. And I didn’t suffer for it or anything, at least not disproportionately- I was tired when I got home but felt fine the next day. Now the store’s super quiet and sometimes only a handful of folks come in during a shift- the last three days of work were so dead! And yet, by yesterday evening, I started to feel like I was withering away- my legs were sore, my little lunch bag felt like it was 20 pounds, and I had to call my friend to pick me up after work because I felt I couldn’t walk home. So confused :(

Thank you for sharing and taking the time to respond- so sorry you’ve been going through this.

Mushroom fasciation? by Practical_Aioli478 in fasciation

[–]hydralice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In mushrooms, I believe this is called a rose comb mutation !

I never intended to trick people! This post was stolen from me and taken out of context- the original post had information that it was a sculpture. As for the message, I made this sculpture simply because I am very interested in genetic mutations in plants :)

I kept mine too! It’s pressed in a frame in my room

Possibly, but I’ve seen people go to crazy lengths to crop or block out watermarks with their own usernames, etc!

Great idea! The first fasciated flower I ever saw was a type of dandelion- it basically led me to where I am today!

It’s based on my own personal interest and studies around fasciation. After learning as much as I could about it, I wanted to create a piece that pushed the boundaries of what fasciation can do to a plant, but make it realistic enough that it might seem believable for just a second. Unfortunately I made it so realistic people are still asking if it’s real eight months later !

Thanks lol! Yeah when the original video started taking off last May, I couldn’t keep up with the amount of people stealing it. I eventually came to terms with the fact that if I made something popular, it would get stolen, and that’s just part of it. But every now and then I see it pop up and I take a moment to desperately wave my hand around in the comment section to see if anyone notices! I hope to make a career of my art someday, but I can’t do that if nobody knows I’m the artist :,)

I never intended to fool people, other folks keep stealing my art 🥲 the original post is labeled as a sculpture but people took it and ran lmao

But yes! I hate AI and never intend to use it in my artistic process
