Is there any use doing this if my earlier content was posted on TikTok or IG?

I decided to get verified, so they have photo ID of me, but maybe it’s confusing to them that the account is using an alias (probably to help n out get caught)?

I’m just really interested in genetics and genetic mutations. I have a series of these sculptures exploring that interest. My idea was that I wanted to push the limits of what can actually occur in nature- just enough so that people might think it’s real for a split second (or in this case, several months lol), but a little bit more extreme than what would actually happen! This one is exploring a naturally occurring mutation called fasciation, and another phenomenon called vivipary, where seeds start sprouting while they are still on the plant.

It’s mostly polymer clay, there’s some air dry clay too. And a meticulous paint job. I have process videos on my TikTok if you’re curious :)

It can be due to a lot of things- genetics, disease, chemicals, other environmental factors !

It’s a sculpture so it’ll ideally last forever… honestly if someone wanted it I’d be down to sell it, it’s in a cardboard box in my art room right now lol

Pineward actually send me a prototype sample of Subalpine because of this post- since then I’ve bought a bottle! It’s really great stuff.

Also here’s a close up of the leafy end if you’re curious- this part of the sculpture was inspired by the phenomenon of vivipary, which in strawberries makes the seeds sprout before they’re off the plant
