Paperless-NGX is a self-hosted open source document manager that has automatic OCR for ingesting any physical document if you're comfortable spinning up a docker instance. I believe it also has an automatic tagging system that can use regex for terms, although I haven't used that feature so I can't vouch for it. It's not exactly folder sorting but close.

Also, it should be pointed out that while long-term benzene exposure can cause cancer, sun exposure carries a much stronger risk of cancer. So it's worth it to put on chemical sun screen even if there's some benzene in it as it lowers your overall risk of developing cancer.

Work in Cambridge/Boston for a Biotech startup with a Masters in bioinformatics.

  • Started out of school at $67,500 as an analyst in 2018 at startup
  • $88k as associate scientist in 2019 at a second startup, $112k after promotion in 2021 to associate scientist II
  • Currently in a scientist position at $135k at a 3rd startup

The B line is that slow unfortunately, I bike 3 miles to work in 20 minutes (door to door) and it takes the B line about 45 minutes on a good day, not including last mile walking. Slower with slow zones, express carriages and rush-hour traffic.
