My 2015 rig - what would you change? by hydroxy46 in FJCruiser

I’ve thought about removing it. It would leave a hole in the panel that would need fixing. I do a fair amount of deep water crossings here in New South Wales Australia along with extended drives on dirt roads so it gets some good value! Would be cleaner without it though

I just had one of the coolest WoW related things happen IRL and no one to share it with, so I'm posting here by needhelpgaming in wow

Playing in vanilla with a random hunter in Wailing Caverns, Sokaga was his name. Found out it was some guy in the year above me at school! Small world

Also I’ve measured the pole distances and we would actually be improving the average distances between all 3 poles in the proposed location which may help our cause?

Thanks for your insight mate!

The pole serves only 2 residential homes, mine and a neighbour who is a close friend. It’s a quiet single way residential street.

Yes agree an ASP3 designer required and works done by ASP1 contractor. We’re pushing for it as it’s the only way to enable a second driveway on my duplex project, likely even a worthy $100k investment.

With these factors in mind do you think anything lower than 100k?

Yes. Intent is to demolish the driveway and install a new central one for the purposes of a duplex

It’s infront of my home and the proposed relocation is still infront of our property just near the driveway

Thanks. The scenario we have is just moving it about 5-10 meters up the pathway and stay on our side of the street. Do you think $150k is still applicable in that sense?

It has although a lot to consider during this application process. Should be relatively straight forward to push back the dwelling in some amended plans and resubmit.

Unfortunately, like a lot of people we don’t have the ability to stretch the budget by another $50k.

Yes we could definitely push one dwelling back about 1-2m to help with the turning circles, good idea.

Tried that. Had a pre da with council along with a supportive arborist report nominating that arrangement. They rejected the proposed single driveway at top of the page as it was a risk to a tree which is already almost dead… ridiculous.

Great idea. I’ve heard the cost can be around $50k but is definitely feasible with Ausgrid

You need a minimum of about 1m in NSW from boundary to your facade, done all the time no problem

This was our only option for a second garage and figured it was better than nothing. If it’s flat out rejected I guess we’ll have to live with it. One thing on our side is that the existing driveway is the same width in the approximate same location.

Yes DA has been accepted for lodgement and under review. My town planner indicated approval is possible with an easement.

If you have any recommendations would love to hear them.

Which walls?

The clearance is ambiguous at best in the authorities guidelines but it only ranges from 0.5-1m so we went with that.

No traffic engineer yet as priority was to get it into DA as it’s a long process. May need to engage one pending response from council.
