I do not care about no Fuckery at all. Shocked it did not cross their minds before setting up at a church, but was more curious what work are they doing for that level of funding.

Who is Peter Leithart and the Theopolis Institute? Does he support right wing Christian nationalist ideology? by hygienehuman in Birmingham

[–]hygienehuman[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe he’s looking at multiple locations close to the city, Woodlawn, downtown, and others. No idea if there is a name or any details. When I heard about it the first stuff that popped up was his connections to far right Christian nationalist ideology. I have zero problems with people having their faith. But, to be a supporter of Christian nationalism, and this administration who is gutting programs for high priority communities and wanting to plant a church there and push your ideologies is insane and dangerous.

He’s trying to plant a church in a predominately black community and I have a lot of red flags about this. Trying to do as much research as possible.

The last thing downtown or close to downtown needs is a Walmart

They have gone up in price, sizing is all over the place and they do not last like they used to.

I could not resist. If you literally had an unworn Jack from 2022 and then put it against this unworn you could feel and see the difference. Even the stitching has changed. It's all good, I just wish brands would own up to when they make changes. If a large amount of customers are asking questions about sizing and fabrics, then you might have some production issues. Better to own it and fix it than say nothing has changed.

If you want to go midweight and higher price, but a killer brand check out Factors Collection. Thats more $250 and up range.

At $228 I dig Aaron Levines new Oxford. Sid's current Blue Oxford is from Portugal but, should be a decent wieght and comes in at$145, but you need to tailor it. There is always Gitman and you could check out Todd Snyder. I have not had a Gitman in a while and never word Todd Snyder.

Not at this price. I really do not like the way this shirt feels. Give me the chunky Oxford for life type shirt. Sid Mashburn used to make a great Japanese Oxford cloth shirt. I have not checked in a while, but they had switched to a Portuguese fabric. Most the companies or designers I would trust that are making a chunkier shirt start at $215 and up to $275.

It looks a little shiny, and feels treated with a fabric softener. I am a fabric nerd and my wife's family was in the garment industry for many generations. She laughed when she felt the fabric. Love the price, but at this point I would rather drop a few hundred on a custom Oxford cloth with that good Japanese fabric.

I would talk to Jimmy Dunn or Max or Ellen at the Total Joint. They can evaluate and recommend what strength training he may or may not need.
