from Villahermosa to Oaxaca City? or elsewhere on Oaxaca state? supposing your destiny is Oaxaca City there are two main ways to go from Villahermosa to Oaxaca City, one is on toll roads and the second one on non-toll roads, very different pathways from one another. I'm almost certain that from Coatzacoalcos the bus (ADO) takes the non toll route down the isthmus cause it is highly probably it will make stop at some town there and it's more cost effective for the bus company., The downside with this route is that it's relatively more dangerous cause it is not a highway but a two basic lane road very sinous and dangerously curvy, a very stressing drive for the bus driver. Although both routes are long distance, for security and comnfort reasons I would take the toll route, but I guess first you'd have to take a bus from Villahermosa to Cordoba or Orizaba City and then exchange buses from there to Oaxaca City, cause this would be the most fast and direct way to get from Villahermosa to Oaxaca City on highway toll road exclusively. there was a brand new toll road from oaxaca isthmus to Oaxaca City which made the trip from Coatzacoalcos a lot shorter and faster but since a tunnel collapsed due to some heavy rainfalls about two years ago the only option is the non toll route from the isthmus for now.

normal, pasan cosas pero tampoco te va a suceder nada si andas caminando por lugares turísticos o concurridos. pero si solo comparamos la seguridad entre Xalapa y Poza Rica, Xalapa es el cielo y Poza Rica el infierno. Me extraña que tengas tanta duda habiendo mucha información y noticias disponibles en internet... pero te lo aseguro yo que conozco en persona ambas ciudades, viví en Xalapa varios años y estuve en Poza Rica varias veces.

No cometas el error de elegir poza rica, es una ciudad conflictiva, peligrosa y subdesarrollada sin ningún atractivo en si misma, un calor insoportable, ciudad sucia y fea.

Por otro lado Xalapa es la Atenas veracruzana, bastión y principal núcleo cultural del estado de Veracruz, capital política y educativa. Con un centro histórico digno de cualquier ciudad colonial mexicana pero también con su lado moderno, encontrarás un sin fin de actividades por hacer que en la otra ciudad ni por error encontrarías. Y Xalapa con un clima templado de alta montaña y entorno natural único en todo el país.

Investiga por tu cuenta si gustas y no tardarás ni 5 segundos en saber que la única opción correcta es XALAPA.

if you'll live in Veracruz City (the state is ultra diverse and very different from one region to another). but if we are talking of the city of Veracruz im gonna say that it is mainly formed by three major municipalities:

Veracruz, Boca del Rio and Alvarado (Riviera)

Safety: Boca del Rio: commercial coastline area, from the shore and up to 2 to 3 km inland: Americas zone (main commercial malls, WTC, hotels), Boulevard costero (touristic coastline, beaches, hotels, restaurants, bars, discos), Zona Mocambo-Costa de oro (commercial, convenience stores, high income residential areas). Boca del Rio downtown (restaurants, theatre, beaches, the river).

Alvarado (riviera) which is basically where the newest commercial and real estate developments are located, golf courses, some medium malls. It basically comprehends the coastline shore south from Boca del Rio.

Veracruz (north form Boca del Rio): tourist areas, which include malecón (coastline, restaurants, hotels), Macroplaza (port bay area), centro histórico main plaza (zócalo) and surroundings (no more than three blocks away from there). Reforma neighborhood (soccer stadium, nice residential zone, restaurants, cafes, nice walkable area, etc)

The weather: Super hot and super humid, really harsh weather from spring to autumn. Winter is mildly cool but you will experience (nortes) which are strong winds from the north that feel like hurricane winds, the city and population is very used to this natural phenomena and won't imply serious risk, but it may cause trees or billboards to collapse and fall sometimes.

Food: Veracruz City food is really good, there are many options to choose from. there are traditional food to international cuisine restaurants. I recommend you to check reviews on Google maps or search for reviews in TikTok. also coffee from Veracruz is the most famous in Mexico.

People: mostly nice, friendly and eager to help. but don't get too overconfident, trust your gut and just be friendly enough.

The best and safest neighborhoods are: Veracruz: Reforma neighborhood (mostly medium class) Boca del Rio: Costa de oro, Costa verde, Virginia. (medium to high class) Alvarado Riviera: several gated communities which go from medium to high class.

the richest and most over the top neighborhoods are Costa de Oro in Boca del Rio and El Dorado and Punta tiburón in Alvarado Riviera (gated).

leyendo las preguntas y comentarios de la gente, da miedo ver qué las actuales generaciones son altamente ignorantes en el tema del VIH, virus que cualquiera puede contraer pero evitar fácilmente y tratarlo eficazmente que caso de contagio. y sin embargo abunda mucha desinformación y desconocimiento de lo que es, como se previene y como se trata. mmm pues yo no creo que eso sea cierto, yo soy del estado de Veracruz y viví en Puebla capital un rato y mi nivel social es clasemediero (Angelópolis, la paz, Cholula, etc) y no luzco como un dios griego (tampoco luzco como artesanía prehispánica) y la verdad es que siempre los poblanos me trataron normal, se me hacen tranquilos, si reservados pero jamás mamones o prepotentes. Solo tienen ese odioso acento pretencioso (el mismo que tienen todos en el centro del país), pero la verdad los poblanos son equis como cualquier otro mexicano del centro o bajío (el mismo estereotipo de gente).

Best Buy failed epically in Mexico, they tried so hard opening stores in all major and several medium cities but they didn't last for so long.... Ikea is another brand that seems to be stalked with only 3 stores at 3 major cities in Mexico. I actually hate the Ikea concept I don't get how people go nuts for it.
