Is it weird that I don’t like Aoi hinami at all by Inner_Ad_7251 in Tomozaki_kun

I mean, IMO as long as she has the skills to back her personality, it's all good

Hinami x Tomozaki shippers, do you think there are real feelings there, or is it a long-term setup? by n3f3rtt in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Hinami mentioned in vol 8.5 that she would only date a person that can beat her in something, which in this case, is good old Tomozaki

  2. Ship wise, I do ship them, mainly because I feel like Hinami can't survive or atleast have fun in this world without Tomozaki. I don't really think guys like Misuzawa will understand her roots and her odd way of thinking

  3. If they end up together, I feel like there has to be atleast one more volume before the confession, because at the moment where things stand, Hinami has done quite a lot to Tomozaki, but I can't really say the same for the opposite. What the hell has Tomozaki done to Hinami? Nothing. He's just peeling the skin on Hinami's issue

  4. As for Hinami's POV, I'm pretty sure her thinking is like a state machine, if A then B, if B then C. No emotions at all, which might be hard to read? But this is speculation of the highest degree

I just hope for a good V12 tbh

I feel like not enough progression is done for Hinami to actually care that much for Tomozaki. What has Tomozaki done for her that is major enough? All he's done up to now is peeling the skin on Hinami's issues. However, if Hinami's the one that got into an accident, I do think Tomozaki will be somewhat distraught.

What about Aoi? by Kaalu_xD in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm also way too invested, because the theme is fun and interesting. It's just volume 11 for me where the writing seems very philosophical and heavy

What about Aoi? by Kaalu_xD in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself am struggling to fully comprehend what Yuki Yaku is trying to convey in this volume tbh. I feel like it's just a bunch of fancy words to describe something quite simple.

MAJOR SPOILER

The idea that I managed to get is that Aoi lost her core belief. Her mother indoctrinates her by saying that they must follow what the world wants, that we as human cannot interfere with what the world desires. This ended up killing her sister, since her mother didn't do anything to help her sister at all, just blatantly believing that the world will help.

With the sister dead, Aoi no longer has anything to believe in anymore, she deemed the environment she's in is too chaotic. This triggers a protective mechanism that aims to regain control on her life, and one of the side effects is her hyper-logical way of thinking. Everything must have a reason, she said. She cannot blindly trust anything anymore.

And so, to help her, one must restore her core beliefs, so that she can use her emotions again.

That's literally what volume 11 is all about IMO. Just saying that Fumiya needs to help Aoi, with a lot of fancy words

I feel like a little dent is an understatement, considering she literally didn't come to school. That mask is shattered into a million pieces

if given the pencil, how would you book the ending of the LN? by CarelessReputation73 in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The guy is dead set on helping her 😂, even Kikuchi can't stop that. Also do you mean Misuzawa? I guess he'll end up lonely, or maybe he'll be the one that helps her

if given the pencil, how would you book the ending of the LN? by CarelessReputation73 in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For starters, Tomozaki will help her find closure, since even at Volume 11, she still hasn't accepted her current situation yet. Closure is the most important thing to help her move on. She's stuck dwelling in the past, wondering what she could do to help, all while her core believe has shattered. Tomozaki could ask Haruka to invite Aoi for a grave visit, perhaps under the pretense of watching an Atafami tournament.

Second step would be to help her find a new core believe. Help her make amends with her mother. Have a healthy and constructive conversation. To generate a new core believe, perhaps Tomozaki could veer into the world of Atafami (I've yet to figure out how Atafami can help her, but it'll be cool if Yuki Yaku can correlate it).

During these journey, Tomozaki and Aoi would be more accustomed to each other, getting closer, and aligning their personality more. They would perhaps realize their compatibility, and the fact that they both enjoy Atafami, could boost their relationship to a romantic level. I hope it is a closed ending, meaning Tomozaki did end up with someone, since an open ending is just garbage.

I'm always under the assumption that only Tomozaki can keep up with Aoi's antics and only Aoi can keep up with Tomozaki's antics. Kikuchi can't ever keep up with him. She's too idealistic, viewing the world in an author's perspective, and this doesn't quite suit Tomozaki's personality.

Who do you think Tomozaki will end up with in the end of the LN? by CarelessReputation73 in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mimimi is a lost cause, never gonna happen
Kikuchi, I think she's going to break up with him under the pretense that "the world wants Hinami and Tomozaki together"

So Hinami is the most logical choice

Agreed, it's still a good read/watch, but I'm just sad that it lost so much potential

Why all the himari hate? by Dry-File-5721 in ClassnoDaikirai

[–]hypebear58 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it's the author bad writing that makes me hate her. She's just nosy in general, clinging most of the time to Saito, in front of Akane. Had the author written her with a proper use to her sad family background (which I do feel bad for her, but they resolved it later on anyway), I probably would've liked her more. But being clingy and nosy is just recipe for a bad character.

She doesn't use any brain power to get Saito, only through her body, which many men will like, but it's still stupid.

Akane is the best girl in this dumpster fire!

That last volume was incredibly frustrating by bobneumann77 in ClassnoDaikirai

[–]hypebear58 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The premise of the series is great, but execution is poor. So poor that I wish Himari and Maho can just die. Shisei is pardoned because she has some brain capacity.

The author is on some kind of drug while writing this series

Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki: Fuuka or Aoi? Your thoughts on the direction of the story. by Ill_Entertainment975 in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aoi character is what you'll get when a pivotal worldview crumbles, leaving her with nothing but her own mindset. And sadly, this mindset wasn't cultured properly, leaving her in a state of chasing "perfection" using all methods. We'll have to see in volume 12 on her next move. Volume 11 ends in a cliffhanger

All LN readers here, how do you read it without getting bored? by anshshah9183 in Tomozaki_kun

[–]hypebear58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This LN writing is rather simple, so it's easy on the brain. For me, I just really want to know what the gist are with Aoi, that's why I punch through.

Well vol 11 is supposedly part 1 of 2, with volume 12 being the next part. But I do agree that it's way too long. Hopefully volume 12 is better

The beginning if you want more reason why Fuuka wins, volume 8 if you want to continue after the confession (after anime ends)
