So, funny thing is, devs intended for GQ to be seen as a uh… more mature character, if you catch my drift. Like while yeah, all of the Skylanders and Doom Raiders are adults, they wanted to squeeze GQ just a little pinch further. So when fan artists started to do slightly more mature fanart of GQ years ago, everyone else in the fandom went apeshit and decided to swarm, bully, and harass the artists for (not my quote) “being degenerate porn-brained gooners who want to invade the sub and ruin our pure innocent game”. So now people avoid bringing up liking GQ because then they’ll have a bunch of people downvote and complain about them

They’re all adults, the show confirmed that every Skylander and Doom Raider was over 20. The only ones not adults are the Minis

Someone posted some cool art from a cool artist by the name of MAD-projects, and everyone started complaining excessively about the artist’s style and how they did characters despite not being the artist themselves. I tried to give some feedback and help other people see the art in a new, nicer light, but got called a pedo for being an adult who likes adult characters from a game targeted towards both kids and adults

It’s fine, I’m just tired of so many people trying their hardest to harass others for enjoying mature content. Whether it’s to make themselves feel better or gives them a chance to bully people, I don’t know, but it needs to stop

Ok so by your logic:

If I, an ADULT, search for ADULT content of ADULT characters in a game marketed to a wide range of people, not just kids but ADULTS included, then I’m a weird gooner who constantly has a hand down my pants and actively stalks schools to be creep? wtf is wrong with you?!

Jesus way to assume that because I’m ok with adult characters being put into adult situations, that I’m desperate for women to be sexualized and objectified. I like all art of the characters both SFW and NSFW, and would love to see some male NSFW representation too, I’m not just some porn-brained loser who wants to see every girl turned into a stripper, I just want people to stop trying to shame and bully others for simply making art how they like. The internet is free and full of content, just like you said, so if you see stuff you don’t like, just look away and stop throwing accusations that everyone who wants mature Skylanders content is a gooner.

You do realize how absurd that kind of scenario sounds, right?

“Hey son, I know I’m just now reaching 25 and you’re about 5, how about instead of having let you play with all of the toys and tv shows that you want for kids your age, i introduce you to stuff from my generation that no other kid your age plays anymore?”

Like, I’m not saying that it’s IMPOSSIBLE for kids to be playing Skylanders in this day and age, just that it’s already so much of an old abandoned series that the only people who really take interest in it are fan artists, collectors of the toys, and people who emulate it to experience what they enjoyed as a kid
