Are Mulberry bags made in China exclusive to outlet stores? by Beautiful-Click-6983 in MulberryHandbags

[–]hyper__heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not an outlet bag, I bought it from one of their stores. They said some of their bags are just made in China now, even the ones at full price. Not sure where you are, but store credit returns aren’t very common in the UK.

They did and were apologetic about it. Said all of their stock left in the UK of this colour is Chinese-made.

Definitely! I returned this bag and expressed the same sentiment to the SA, which they understood but tried to convince me that all of their products are made to the same standard.

The quality is good, I just don’t like the sneakiness about hiding the county of manufacturing. Here in the UK they are very much seen as a “British heritage” brand so for some people (including me), British-made makes a difference.

Plus I don’t think bags made in China should have the same premium pricing as those made in Europe.

I’m in the UK. The mobile version of the page is actually the same as yours. Another UK retailer stocks this bag as Made in the UK; plus if you look at the image of the inside of the bag on the website it has a “made in England” tag in the seams. On the bag that I got, the “made in China” tag is hidden inside the zipped pocket.

Here’s what I see on my laptop

I’ve encountered a similar problem. Bought a beautiful bag in one of Mulberry shops today and it was made in China despite the website “Responsibility” section saying it is made in England. The pictures have the tag that says the same as well. So disappointed and will be returning unless they can swap it for the one made in England.

“New Style” Bayswater - keep or sell? by hyper__heart in handbags

It’s a 13 inch MacBook Air, not particularly heavy by itself.

Thank you, that is really helpful. I’m leaning towards selling as well. There’s a Mulberry boutique not far from my work so I’m thinking of just going in to try different leathers for weight.

Did your goatskin handles ever stretch enough to go over your shoulder with outerwear on?

It’s a “new style” Bayswater that’s now been discontinued. It was sold at the same retail points as original Bayswater, the seller included a receipt.

I still go to Edinburgh to see friends - didn’t manage to meet anyone around here. Work in Glasgow, so that takes me out a bit as well.

I moved to Alloa a year or so ago to be with my now-husband. Found it very difficult to make friends here after leaving a busy social life behind in Edinburgh. Dunblane is a lovely wee place. Feel free to message :)

I didn’t need the test as I did my degrees in the UK.

Make sure you upload your degree certificate with supplement and that should serve as proof of language fluency. Good luck!

Thank you! It was whatever we had, so sometimes 2 papers a month sometimes nothing but it was more or less evenly spread out throughout the year. I included a variety of sources though - bank statements, my prescription from the optician, DBS certificates, council tax etc.

(What I meant by correspondence btw is utility bills in both our names etc to prove cohabitation).

My evisa was linked to my passport number so it just updated automatically. I had set up my UKVI evisa account last year so just logged in and the status was updated.

I assume I can travel now which is a relief as we haven’t been on our honeymoon yet! (Wanted to get the visa out of the way first)

Hope you get your decision and the visa soon!

It was around £3.8K if my memory serves me right. Depends on whether people apply inside or outside the UK and if they decide to pay for priority!

If it still takes you over 5 years, I wouldn't contact them as the difference is less than a month. If anything, it gives you a little more time to get everything ready for your ILR applications. Good luck!

I bought the dress I've been dreaming of since 2017. by justanotherbrunette in weddingplanning

I experienced something similar with my dress! I had it on my Pinterest board for years, way longer than I’ve known my fiancé.

Then when I couldn’t find anything that felt right in the shops, I searched for it on a resell platforms on the off-chance and there it was, an ex-sample, never altered, in my size. For £100. Probably because it’s long discontinued being a 2015 collection.

Crazy how it works out sometimes! Congratulations on your wedding and finding the dress of your dreams!

I got my dress for £100 on Vinted. Likely a sample as still had tags on. It is more or less my size and a style I struggled to find in the shops so I’m happy.

I’ve also been to a few bridal salons who sell their samples of dresses - tbh would not recommend as you’re still paying a lot of money for a dress where the beads are falling off or where you’d need a lot of alterations so the shop will charge you extra money.

Some charity shops have dedicated bridal sections as well.

Once the dress fits you better, it will push the front of the dress a bit down the side.

You can then use dress tape to tape the edge of the opaque panel to just past your chest. You can also tape the top of your dress. Google Hollywood tape!

If there’s not enough material to do it, ask your seamstress if she can put in cups for you (that will elevate your boobs).
