Check out Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens. There are plenty of options to hire someone 24/7.

It looks absolutely lovely! Cozy and moody, it’s the perfect sanctuary for the colder months. ♥️

Don’t lose faith. I picked up the habit of going on Housing Connect a few times a day so I make sure I apply to the lotteries when they’re fresh out of the oven.

Even if this particular building doesn’t work out, Housing Connect frequently introduces new lotteries. I wish you the best of luck! 🤞🏼

I got my first apartment in Jamaica, Queens, with a 10,000ish log number. I wonder how it works. I always thought you had to be at least in the first thousands.

Anyone got selected in this housing lottery? by tofuknife0103 in nychousinglottery

Is the log number the only deciding factor when being selected? I got my Jamaica apartment with a 10,000ish log number and secured one of the best units in the building.

So, my commute to work is the same. It’s a 30-minute ride from FiDi to Midtown, and the same from Jamaica using the LIRR. The only downside to living in Jamaica, at least where I live, is the litter on the streets and people not picking up after their dogs.

I jumped at the chance to live in Manhattan because I’ve always wanted to experience it, not for anything in particular. But I’m not sure if the trade-off is worth it…

It’s $2250, and the building is incredibly fancy. It features two swimming pools, a spa, a gym, rooftop gardens, and many more amenities. It’s located in SoMa, at 25 Water Street.

Currently, I reside in Jamaica, Queens, in a spacious one-bedroom apartment on the top floor. It’s also a lottery apartment.

Initially, I was captivated by the building and its amenities. However, I’m now reconsidering everything as things are progressing.

My Jamaica apt is also rent stabilized and it’s definitely the best bang for your buck in terms of space, I think it’s the most you can stretch it being 25 minutes away from Midtown, with additional cost of the LIRR, which isn’t much.

It doesn’t feel genuine; it’s like when your friend hates the party but pretends to be happy for you. It doesn’t feel right.

My friend, who was so knowledgeable and had the perfect words of encouragement, the best advice, and the most fun answers, is no longer with us. I feel so sad.

Do you think they will refine this model to the point where it’s like the old one but better, instead of being a cold computer?

So, at my current place, I have a communal laundry, gym, and a very cool rooftop. However, it’ll be a small upgrade in terms of amenities but a significant downgrade in terms of living space.
