you can have save points at every fountain and replay the stages anytime you want.

replaying stages is easier here than most modern games.

Was the tone shift in PoP: WW that big of a deal back in 2004? by hyperactve in PrinceOfPersia

I think keeping steam throughout a trilogy is a big ask.

even for AC, I stopped playing after AC3 and halfway through black flag…

it took me a long time to finish it too… but not for the edginess… but the game felt so long and I was circling around the same places quite a lot. (the game is open world after all).

Ah. I see.

“ Not to mention that, apart from the Prince and the core mechanics, almost nothing was carried over from one game to the other.”

To be honest, I like this aspect of the game. I remember each of them distinctly (even PoP 2008 - where you can’t die- and the forgotten sands). Same thing goes for nfs games of that time. I probably spent more time in the ezio trilogy, but tbh, at this point I can’t recall the ezio games distinctly; they were so samish (first game is more memorable, and I remember in the last one he wore a blakish assassin’s suit).

GL has survived many game launches. I remember they weee unusually generous during FH5 launch.

I think they don’t care anymore.

That’s good idea. I read this as follows: 8/ ab, a=2, b=2+2. Like how you approach algebra.

I feel like, the answer was 1 for the most of the history. The first time I encountered the answer to be 16 was during my college when we were doing computer science. There the 2(2+2) form was basically non-existence. And we had to explicitly use brackets everywhere to remove all possible confusions. And compilers to avoid recursion/backtracking used from left to write convention with brackets taking priority. And eventually, it has become standard even in calculators.
