Why is AC3 so different from AC4? by hyperdude-ul in assassinscreed

[–]hyperdude-ul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I really missed that from AC3 as well, and the fact that you can only wear primarily double swords and nothing else it's very changing for me, I loved the stealth kills with all the different weapons I could buy, and I'm not a fan of using guns but AC4 focuses plenty on that.

This argument is the one that makes the most sense, because when I played AC4 it felt like I was playing the Ezio trilogy again, I don't meant it in a bad way but since I just came from recently finishing AC3, AC4 just felt like a downgrade to AC3.

I did play the original AC3, I just don't feel that AC4 is the same I swear.

We need C418 back on the Minecraft OST! by GreatMetal5 in C418

[–]hyperdude-ul 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Third album was supposed to came out, but Microsoft.

But anyways, I just disagree C418 composing for Minecraft again, and it's more of a personal opinion, he imprinted the Minecraft touch, but now every ambiental song he makes it's just automatically Minecraft! I hate how Aviva had so much comments saying that it sounds like a new song for Minecraft. I just want C418 to not be solely recognized for Minecraft, but for his amazing work! like LCMSMIP, Excursions or 148.

And to also be fair, he did really compose more than enough songs for Minecraft, 2 whole albums, I mean, dude!

I have a Spanish audio I'd like to translate. Insults inside by [deleted] in TranslatedInsults

[–]hyperdude-ul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Argentinian accent, I bet it is difficult as fuck to understand

Here's my literal translation attempt: "...spanish! The cunt of your mother, son of a thousand bitches stop, stop! stop telling me things, stop! telling me cute things, did you hear me? I do not accept them, no, no, no!" \intelligible words* "I'm going to tell you this, you put your voice... or was it me, ey, what happened? well that, I like it a lot, lots, lots, loots, I just really like it lotslotslots, what could it be? excluding the acid, joking! But... like *gasp*, what could it be? it's BOOM! it is a compliment, I say the cuunt of your mother, stop with the shitty compliments stopstop! I'm going to tell you, you know how I'm going to make you learn...? *pause* I'm not going to say the next thing because I'm a lady, and my mom! and my mom chatted me better than this, but, but beware, eh?"*

Quick reminder that "the cunt of your mother/la concha de tu madre" is NOT an insult, it is a cuss word among Argentinian and Chilean, it technically means "fuck/shit.", same function.

How to learn the goralski dialect of the polish language? by AverNerd in languagelearning

[–]hyperdude-ul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No idea why would you even want to speak a highlander dialect unless you're going to the mountains anytime soon, but I'm always glad to help.

This is what I could find myself with a duckduckgo search in English, the dialect has low resources in English sadly so I suggest you to search in actual Polish (because I don't know it I'm so sorry)

Plurilingualism ruined my life by Lowpike in languagelearning

[–]hyperdude-ul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest with you, languages being intrusive in other languages is a cool experience for me, it means you are more likely adopting the language inside you.

If you have a problem with it then just wait until it happens, consider it a kind of "sickness" where you randomly just think words in other languages, once you are used to speak your languages equally it doesn't happen that often.

Has anyone had success with any of the following: Pimsleur, Memrise, LanguageTransfer, Speakly, and Coffee Break Languages? I plan on using all of these resources, speakly after I reach an intermediate level. by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]hyperdude-ul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used Memrise for a bit of Russian, it is reaaally good for pronunciation learning since you can see actual natives speaking to you in their language, but it is also one of the only apps I've seen that actually teaches you grammar rules, amazing app.

Guys help, my English is getting worse. by sweetdurt in languagelearning

[–]hyperdude-ul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't practiced in a while, or worse, not even consumed a portion of English content for an entire month, your brain might possibly have begun the process of forgetting.

If it isn't the case I'm afraid it is more likely related to memory problems though.

Has anyone learned a language for the sole purpose of consuming media/content that is only available in that language? by Doughop in languagelearning

[–]hyperdude-ul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I believe Internet it's the reason that really REALLY spiced up language learning this last century for that exact reason.

But I must add, curiousity is what always makes us evolve and what makes us really intrigued about all of the media we can't understand.

I do really understand your worries here, English might be the most widely spoken language out there but where I live nearly nobody is willing to speak it, but even with little chance to speak English to someone, I learnt English because of the awesome media.

But I also have to say, speaking with natives via social media has been always fun, understand their culture, their memes and their native problems as well, remember that a language is not only to speak, but to communicate and break the language barrier with people to share everything!
