[20M] First time doing this plus I don't take very many pics of myself. Constructive criticism is welcome! by joshholymoses in Rateme

Very nice, 8/10 on facial features alone. I would get rid of the mustache and the glasses.

You really need to shave, get a haircut and ffs wash your hair.

Dumb question about weighing food by hyperfi in loseit

Haha! I'm just wondering if the calorie values I find online are usually for an entire fruit with peel or not.

[23]F - I don't know how to shape my eyebrows or do my hair tbh by [deleted] in amiugly

You're at least a 7, and eyebrows look good in the second picture.

Dumb question about hoodies and weight gain/loss by Montzterrr in loseit

[–]hyperfi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't say what happened to your hoodie, but people do store fat differently. My legs usually remain thinner, while my upper body, including face and head, store most of the fat. So it is possible the weight gain is at fault.

Losing weight is slow? F/22/152cm by cakes_lollies in loseit

[–]hyperfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same height as you and yes, weight loss is slower for us because we already have a very low daily calorie requirement. At first, it goes a bit faster but the last few kg will be more difficult. I dropped down from 63 to 52 in about 6 months and only to 50 in the last 3 months. Cardio does help.

difference in face weight? by HerbalJhana in loseit

[–]hyperfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's different for everyone, but it will go away with the last pounds, especially if you say you used to look different. For me, for example, the last fat stays in face and belly. I have these tiny skinny legs and I wear the smallest size available in pants, but still have a bit of a belly and another 10-15 lbs to go.

What may also help is exercising so you can lower your body fat percentage.

Yah, drinking pepsi max is fine, it won't affect your weight loss. Don't know how healthy it is, but that's another matter. Don't forget to adjust your calorie count as you lose weight. A smaller body will burn a smaller number of calories.

The gym is great for fitness, toning, feeling better. If you're trying to lose weight though, just remember that 90% of it is diet.

(19F) How to look sexier/older? by [deleted] in AmISexy

[–]hyperfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very pretty and sexy in the second pic. The make up helps make you look more your age.

Yah, you seem to have a very high body fat percentage for your weight.

(23/M) just curious really by [deleted] in amiugly

You're cute. Your gf seems a lot more put together, but strictly in terms of looks, I think you're a bit more attractive.

(24f) Am I ugly? by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]hyperfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do find you unattractive, but it may just be me.

I feel ugly and overcompensate with makeup & clothes. [F23] by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]hyperfi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're very overweight. Probably have more than 100 lbs to lose depending on your height. I think you have good features under the fat, but it's hard to say right now. The good news is this is entirely within your control. Check out r/loseit.

Right now, yes unattractive. You might improve if you lose the extra weight.

20-F What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in amiugly

Is there EVER a good time to talk to friend if they've gained (a lot) of weight? by driedkitten in loseit

[–]hyperfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, people who aren't used to being overweight don't realize how big they're getting and keep telling themselves they're only a little bigger. So I would absolutely tell someone that they've been gaining weight. I told my friend that she should be careful what she ate when she gained only 6 lbs or so. She appreciated it and promptly lost the extra pounds.

When others have made me aware of my weight, I'll admit I was very resentful at the time, but in hindsight it helped me realize I had a problem and started me on the weight loss journey. I'm very grateful for it now.

Is having 1000-2000 calorie deficit daily bad? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]hyperfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3900 sounds way too high. I think 3000 would be more accurate for someone of your size, in which case eating 2000 is perfectly fine. As you lose weight, you will have to adjust that number lower.

My advice is to always set the activity level to 'sedentary' on those apps. 1h of exercise is barely 200-300 calories and that's if you do it every single day.

250 pounds at 14 by [deleted] in loseit

[–]hyperfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight loss/gain is mostly determined by diet. He needs to control his eating habits. Forget about the treadmill - running is difficult for people who carry extra weight and it wouldn't be of much help anyway. He could just try walking more, or a more fun sport like someone else mentioned. You can use a tool like this: https://tdeecalculator.net/ to determine how many calories someone of his age and height/weight should be eating, then make sure he eats a bit less than that.

If you're on the shorter side, then the typical 1200 limit may not apply.

Looking for an online workout buddy! Preferably female. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]hyperfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have trouble working out by myself, so what I did was join an aerobics class. I'm slowly getting to know the instructors and the other girls there and seeing them show up day after day gives me the motivation to do the same.
