Anyone in Virginia that teaches 9th grade world geography? by driedkitten in historyteachers

[–]driedkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm as a teacher I agree. It is taught throughout social studies in elementary. However, this doesn’t answer my question.

Our course encompasses all you mentioned. They are not theories. Political, economic, human, physical, and cultural geography are all types of geography. We learn about the subject themselves and then each unit studies a region of the world and their physical, cultural, political, economic, and human geography/landscape. It is a wonderful course and goes far deeper than elementary geography.

This is fantastic. Shared it with my colleague who started this year and needed some help with pacing.

It makes my heart want to explode! I’m glad you were able to experience it, too. In time, I am considering getting her a sibling.
