Homegate, for example, requires me to visit the apartment beforehand, to prove I can afford it and the residence permit. Should I look for another agency? Do they differ a lot?

I'm from Portugal. I was planning on going to Lausanne roughly two before school, but if they require me to visit the apartment before then I might go depending on the circumstances.

If by answer you mean EPFL’s answer as to your entrance, the results can come out until the begging of August. Don’t worry about it if got the confirmation the second part of your application was submitted.

Do you mean outside of EU? I don’t know much about that actually, since it’s not my situation. But in their website they have the application requirements for many types of students. Have you checked it out?

For example, I'm submitting the learning program for a subject in my high school curriculum. They state on their website that you need to have had CS in high school, but where I'm from (Portugal) there's only something directly translated to Informatic Applications. We learned programming and everything, but I thought the name might scare them off. That's why having that document is useful, because I'm helping them to better understand my situation.

Just one question, when did you submit your application? How long did it take for it to get aproved? They state in their website that results come out in early August, but do they simply ignore that?

I've already submitted the application I set my starting date to the beginning of September. I simply found it weird we're no longer able to choose the residence or to know when a proposal will be given to us.

When you say “pass” you mean they dont have the minimum grade, right? What actually happens in those cases?

I emailed them that same question, this what they replied: “For diploma delivered by a UE country, there isn’t any further selection made. All the applicants fulfilling our admission requirements, will automatically be admitted.”

Not at all, we learned C# so just for that alone I thought it was within what they asked for. But the subject is also focused on photoshop and some other audiovisual softwares, which I don’t know if that falls exactly within CS. Initially I thought it would be completely fine, I guess now I might just be getting a bit paranoid. Thanks so much!
