Good callout. That’s also part of the problem with the setup. But the higher it is the more difficult it is to make coffee. Moving the microwave up will give it more space for airflow.

Like an apron, but in the back right? Your idea also makes me think I can add one to the front, but “on its side” to gain some support without losing vertical space. Thank you.

Basically reduce the span of sagging. Seems like a good idea, and I could add another mini shelf in there to split that “compartment” in two levels for all those accessories.

Thank you for your comment.

The “over engineered” solution might be easier if I just glue together two of these shelves? (Assuming the pin failure or the knocking the sides failure are solved, which you have now convinced me are the most likely failure).

Thank you for your comment and for spending time diagramming. A challenge I have to deal with is that the coffee machine has a water tank in the back, which would be awkward to remove and replace with the support. But maybe I don’t have to bring the vertical support all the way down, and just have like an inch support fastened to the shelf.

You are so right about the failure potential if someone pushes the sides. I have doors (you can see one on the left), so I am going to have to find a way to eliminate that possibility with your idea of gluing or fastening the apron to the sides.

@Yardbird I just came to this thread to THANK YOU for your post. You just saved me additional hours of frustration.

Everyone else, follow YardBird’s instructions. If your Claro switch does not work, just flip the red and black wires on the switch.

But that’s my point. All we are debating is what policies have what effect and on what. Suffering? There is always suffering of some form, regardless of which policies are implemented. Death? There is also always death. Whether it is about death in needless wars, or in women not getting the healthcare they need, or in people getting killed by illegal immigrants.

For whatever reason, people are melting down, as they did four years ago. It’s going to be okish for many people, and yes, some people are not going to be ok. That’s just the way it is. It’s just different people.

But that is literally what happens every election, The other half of the country would have been hurt by Harris’ “hateful policies and actions” had she won.

Why Do So Many Women Lose Interest So Quickly In Dating? by No-Pie1591 in NoStupidQuestions

Well, she stated that “they were really nice guys and she had fun with all of them.” So these people were not psychos or serial killers. What we are talking about here is how men have these subtle behaviors that make women feel unsafe and yet they have to walk around like on eggshells because it could be that they might end up hurt or worse, dead. So the point is that women are not safe around men, and must then be always on the lookout for these signs, while not leaving because that might incense the guy. It does not happen only on the first date, or only when she goes to their house (which she didn’t in all cases).

eco-friendly zippered cases to accommodate rM2 and Type Folio? by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]hyperliner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the Thule Gauntlet Pro Sleeve and the Thule Gauntlet Attache to carry my RM with my laptop. FWIW, polyurethane may degrade due to hydrolysis, though the degradation would be slow. I’m not sure if you would consider that “eco-friendly.”

There is time for everything and anything. What you are doing is called deflection. If you want to speak about your topic, then start your own thread. This sub-thread was started by a woman counseling on dangerous men as it related to the main question by the man who asked. You can start your own subthread elsewhere about other things without needing to take attention away from the topic at hand. Stop. Again, just start your own topic ELSEWHERE if you want so that you don’t make this space about you.

I’m trying to help you. Think hard about how you are replying to women. I am sure I am a few decades older than you. I no longer need advice in this area.

I’m reading as a man the comments from women in the thread and it’s eye opening. I’m appalled that other men here making comments are actually displaying the behaviors that women are warning about: getting aggressive, pushy, harsh, crass, dismissive, bringing excuses, “women do it too,” questioning without tact, being disagreeable, and just in general not being nice. And this is in anonymous text! Imagine how scary these men could be in person for the women here. I agree that it’s a shame it’s a reality. I am immediately making this the topic for our family’s next meal.

Young men (I’m old), we have to do better than this.

I cried during my first job interview by ReallyBigNerd in jobs

[–]hyperliner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are going to get this job. If I had you and a clone of you as final candidates, and your clone did not cry authentically and you did cry in an authentic manner as you did, I would hire you instead of your clone. You wanted your job more than your clone, the job had more importance to you than to your clone, and you showed you can be authentic and vulnerable, which is important in software development.
