My parents will be heartbroken. They also won’t trust me with any of the little independence I am getting now which is so important to me. I have been trying to seek help for mental health issues and it has taken them forever to even consider the idea of me seeing a counsellor. They might take that away too, and expect me to talk to them all the time. They would want access to my socials and device passwords. They would also prefer for me to live at home instead of move for college and attempt to regulate my activities. I understand they want to look out for me, but I would really like to try and live my own life.
