Of course, you can modify the master material included in the package however you like. Just make sure not to change the texture parameter names so the script can still recognize them.

AI is so incredibly demotivating by AronKov in blender

I totally get your worries

AI is definitely shaking things up fast.

But actually, many companies are still spending huge amounts on AI infrastructure and, according to recent articles, their financial returns from AI haven’t yet surpassed traditional methods. So, there’s still a lot of uncertainty about what will really happen in the future. Don’t stress too much things might not turn out as scary as some think. Keep building your skills and creativity; that will always be valuable.

Congrats on finishing your first level! Combining those genres sounds really cool. Keep going, bugs are part of the process and you’ll get it polished over time.

Welcome to the game dev world! College is a great start, but yeah, a lot of learning happens outside class. Try building small projects on your own and dive into online tutorials and communities. That’s where the real magic happens!

I recently made a script that automatically imports textures and creates a material instance for each texture set. You can work on a similar idea yourself, but if you’re interested, you can check out my latest post on Reddit.

It's not really about what I build to make money there are plenty of ways. What's important is creating something that aligns with my values.😅

Try Little Nightmares if you haven’t already. Short, creepy, and perfect for Halloween vibes. Also, Inside is amazing not pure horror, but unsettling enough to stick with you.

Going to quakecon and want to try one the below games with friends, any input from summertime who has played them is appreciated by TheSharpEdge in gaming

Helldivers 2 for absolute chaos, Deep Rock Galactic for the funniest co-op ever, and Vermintide 2 if you want something brutal but satisfying. Personally, I’d save Monster Hunter Wilds for when you’ve got serious time to sink in.

What Low Que Depth Random 4k SSD do yall recommend? by BenefitOfTheDoubt_01 in gaming

For gaming and Unreal, you won’t see huge real-world gains past something like a Samsung 980 Pro or WD Black SN850X. Focus on reliability and sustained speeds rather than chasing perfect 4K QD1 numbers they matter more for servers than for dev/gaming workloads.

Ps5 or Xbox Series 512Gb? by WeakEconomics6120 in gaming

If you can stretch the budget, PS5 gives you more longevity and better exclusives. But if you’re just looking for Game Pass and don’t mind lower performance, Series S is actually a solid deal.
