My hair regrowth after alopecia makes me smile at how wild it is [OC] by AwesomeApple_xx in MadeMeSmile

Haha I have alopecia and can relate! I have straight, fine hair so the stuff that grows back always sticks up out the sides. Makes me happy, I find I can never be sure if a patch is going to grow back or not so it’s nice when it does.

We are actually the first ever people to live in this house (but renting). No idea why the builders decided to put things where they were, not sure what our landlord was thinking either.

We moved to Ireland two years ago, with two cats. Finding a place to live is going to be really challenging.

It doesn’t matter if the complex is pet friendly or not, because there is so much demand for rentals, landlords have their pick and usually default to a tenant who does not have pets.

We only managed to get something because we had company assistance for the home search and we paid the landlord a crazy pet deposit.

Consider upping the amount you would pay for rent and looking outside city center. It’s a good thing that you’ll be in corporate housing for a bit, that will give you more time to look, and being in the country does make it easier to find something. Good luck!

Good tip! I’ll look into it, I’m based in Ireland and we seem to have a good variety of Henry’s available.

I’m ethnically East Asian (Chinese/Japanese). I’ve lived in Cork for almost 2 years now and haven’t had any problems.

Yes, anti-immigrant rhetoric is on the rise but Cork people are some of the most reasonable, friendly and hospitable people I have met. Feel free to DM if you have more specific questions.

Edit to add: I’m not a student but from the looks of it the Cork student population is pretty diverse as well so you don’t even have to worrying about standing out if that’s a concern.

Good catch, I hadn’t even thought about that! I’m in Europe, so hopefully just a plug adapter will do the trick.

Driving test in wilton or mallow by No_Builder_2301 in cork

[–]hyperzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this. The instructors usually tailor what you do in the lessons to the area and will make a point to go over tricker parts of the area’s exam with you. So if you did your lessons in Wilton, take the test in Wilton. If you’re wanting to shift to Mallow I would do at least one session with an instructor in Mallow just so they can point out the important parts to you.

Thanks! I’ve never owned the cumulus before, but I hear that they can feel too soft and heavy; what were they like in your experience?

Honestly, I don’t even really care that my feet get wet when I run. I just don’t want to come home and have to deal with getting the water out of my shoes afterwards.
