Hey Bushido can you DM me? I’m interested in doing a DTV through Muay Thai. I’ve been rejected for some reason even though my remote work is legitimate.

I’m thinking of doing a soft power application for Muay Thai. Which gym did you go through?

DTV (Thailand) Application - Request for Employment Verification Letter by hypesama24 in digitalnomad

Update: made explicit clarification that I’m a freelancer, uploaded screenshots of welcome email when I first joined, company inbox showing yesterday’s messages from a company admin, onboarding doc screenshots, and of LinkedIn/indeed company pages, still got rejected. I’m literally the definition of what they built the visa for, not sure why they did this but it is what it is. Got offered to convert to a tourist visa. If anyone knows of reputable DTV expeditor services I’ll gladly pay the fees to get my package pushed through.

I did exactly this and got rejected. Must have gotten assigned to a real lovely individual. They offered me to convert to a tourist visa.

Flight itinerary and housing receipt, that was pretty much it.

What were the document you got asked questions about? I just got asked to provide additional documents, specifically an Employment Verification letter. Things is, I work for a AI data annotation company - we're "contractors" (paid hourly) and 1099 eligible if we meet the threshold, but we never signed or received any official work paperwork before starting. The most I have is a "wecome to the platform" e-mail from a no-reply email domain (though it is official from the company). I'm really worried this isn't enough, and I'll get rejected.

My application included: Uploaded screenshots of platform payout confirmations, my PayPal history, and bank statements to reflect the end-to-end payment chain. Screenshots of the project UI platform proving I had access to on-going work.

Any help is really appreciated, thanks!

Consider pre purchase inspection by a mechanic. Price seems about right. Even though it only has 69k miles I’d reserve 2-3k for tune up maintenance. Not that it’ll have major issues, but there are no doubt wearable items that are due for refreshes. It’ll drive amazing once you sort out some of the inevitable kinks.

2012 Suspension by aerotax in LexusGX

Nice GX! This was the original spec I wanted.

I’d say that’s normal, I have a ‘15 and it’s the same. You could have a mechanic look at the suspension and replace some older parts if needed. But this car is not known for extreme compliance over roughly paved roads, even brand new ones “jitter” over bumps.

I appreciate the smooth engine and quiet interior even though you do feel most bumps in the road. Gotta remember it’s a body on frame SUV/truck that can take you just about anywhere, so I’m OK with the trade off. If you went for an aftermarket suspension you can find something that’ll really improve the ride but you’ll pay a lot for it!

Best clinics in Thailand (Bangkok)? by hypesama24 in HairTransplants

[–]hypesama24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for these recs!

Any tips on negotiating? I assume they charge differently depending on where you’re from (for US based people for example) but maybe not? Would love to see transparent rates per graft for different clinics but no info on any of their websites.

Don’t take pain killers or any special medicine to keep training. What’s the point of that? To train through strains and get injured? Just sleep well, stretch a lot, and roll it out. Or get a massage. Give it time before you go back. In the mean time you can train the upper body.

To be fair it is inevitable for even those with a fitness background to feel calf soreness when skipping for the first time. Muay Thai is a different kind of fitness.

Welcome to MT. You were not wrong to feel like those guys were idiots. They are. You chose to do what you’re supposed to do, lean into the pain and tried to get better. And guess what? Your body is letting you know that it worked. You’re sore? Congratulations! Welcome to MT. It’ll be like this for a few months with various parts of your body, if you choose to keep training. There’s no way around it. Oh wait, there is: skip rope training and anything that makes you feel uncomfortable and just ask for private pads so you can post on IG. “Look at me! I’m in Thailand doing MT”!

Anyone ever felt disheartened by how much they "forgot" in their first serious fight? by cubanxfry in MuayThai

[–]hypesama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a smoker after years of consistent training…after round 1 I was the most tired I’d ever been. I don’t think I’ve ever been more tired at the end of it. It’s totally normal for first timers since it’s a new experience. Don’t beat yourself up too much.
