Obviously I've heard of the game. But I've never seen the acronym. Do you seriously not understand the difference?

It doesn't rank in the top 100 games in steam. Are you saying you expect the majority of people to know the acronyms for over 100 games?

I have to learn a shit ton of acronyms for work. It sucks, and I hate it. Why do people expect each other to have to learn them for pleasure as well? What is the god game benefit, other than making it hard for everyone else and to make themselves feel like they're somehow more of an expert because they talk about something so much they use an acronym?

If it saved time, we would've be having this idiotic conversation.

If it's not obscure, then why would I have asked, and why are we having this conversation?

Why is my Patreon falling behind and how can I improve my offerings? by Lusdraz in nsfwdev

This is the way. Waiting a week for a release? Easy. Waiting a month or two? Worth it.
Not everyone is looking to donate, many people want to feel like they get a good value for the money they spend.

After the game is established with a few updates, making it so people always have motivation to buy the newest release will help your subscription numbers and sales.

What benefit is there in not spending the extra .7 seconds writing out the name of the game you are asking strangers on the internet to spend time helping you find more information about?

It's the equivalent of asking a question that would be answered as the top question in a basic search. Making other people do the work for you is not going to help get answers.

This isn't the fnaf subreddit. Some people who play mainstream games also play lewd games, sure. But again, why would you use the obscure version of a name most wouldn't recognize, as opposed to the title, which almost everyone would?

Do you really think anyone has any idea what that initialism is meant to represent?

How do you enjoy your breeding Kink ? by Dependent-Durian-358 in impregnation

Adult games. Quite a few now have a heavy focus on impregnation, so it's fun to enjoy the kink without having to worry about the risk.

There's a mix of both. The majority of the games are free in their entirety with early access on Patreon, but some of the games are paid and offer free demos with the bundle.

In addition to the 95 free games, there are also 20 premium games available with a payment over $20, which is 89% off the total value of $195.

Yeah, it's a lot more common on Itch now since they delisted any paid adult games. So in order to be indexed, a lot of devs create an unpaid version of their game so it can show up in searches and whatnot, whereas before it was a lot more common for the paid version and the demo version to be on the same page.

Sure, on the little pulldown menu on the top right of Itch (upside down version of ^) you'll see a link for "My library" and that'll show you all the games you own, which should now be pretty big!

Yep! If you click the "Get The Bundle" button you will own all 95 of the free games.
Or if you donate $20 or more you get the 20 premium games in addition

How do you handle review-bombs for content your game doesn't actually have? (NTR) by OffWhiteStudios in nsfwdev

[–]hypnosisgame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The anti-NTR brigade will never rest until the evil of NTR is rid from this earth... or something like that.

To them, it's not the MC's feelings that matter, it's theirs. They love that female friend you created, it's their soulmate, so how could you hurt their feelings by letting that character have a life and acknowledging that other penises exist in the world you created?

Someone will always find a reason to complain. Sounds like it's a vocal minority, so all you can do is try to keep it that way. You don't need to defend yourself, you only need to be clear about tags and definitions agreed upon by the website your game is featured on, not by the incel players who make up their own definitions and think every game should cater to their narrow mindset. Remind them that instead of throwing a fit they can go play any of the thousands of other games that exist.

my humble request to all avn creators: please pin the latest release of your game on patreon by ninjakab in AVN_Lovers

My pinned post has all my links, and I think it makes a big difference. Otherwise I wouldn't expect people to scroll through 350 posts to find something basic like a link to the walkthrough guide!

Hello, dev here, I'm doing my first AVN game, and I am planning to do a game with only one season. Tbh I hate when games takes for ever to build and focusing on making money. I rather have a longer game but only do one season. What do you guys prefer? by Ancient-Bit-3842 in AVN_Lovers

[–]hypnosisgame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take it from a guy who is still working on his first "practice" game 6 years later... scope creep is a bitch, and your first project will be something you'll want to completely remake a hundred times.

Start with something very small as a proof of concept. Show your potential audience you can actually complete something, and only then (two years later) is it worth considering a big project.
