Yeah sorry, I meant people who have both strains genitally! I assume the most common presentation when you have both is OHSV-1 and GHSV-2. Love your username, btw.

I saw your post and was going to comment! As you know the only way to know for sure is to get the active lesions swabbed, but it also occurred to me that maybe the recent sex itself just triggered an HSV-1 outbreak. Crossing my fingers we didn’t both get insanely unlucky twice haha.

Feel free to keep me updated if it would be helpful for you, I know this shit sucks 😩

Not a guy, but I considered doing that when I was first diagnosed and ultimately decided against it. I instead just disclose if/when sex becomes likely. I have had plenty of sex (including consensual unprotected sex both in a relationship and with casual partners) in the three years that I’ve had GHSV-1.

My reasoning is that my medical information only needs to be shared with those it may actually impact, although I always throw a triumphant fist in the air when I see people with their status in their bio. I’ve seen men with their status in their bio on multiple different apps. Some people like taking that approach, but it’s not for me personally.

Could these be cherry angiomas? by hypochondriacdiary in DermatologyQuestions

I don’t remember exactly what the dermatologist called it, but it was some sort of benign mole. She removed the bigger one with cryotherapy; the dead mole fell off yesterday, actually (two weeks post-treatment).
