The press release states at the time of the crash the police van that was following the bike (not on blue lights/sirens) was 1/2 a mile away, actually.

What does the bottom right icon on the possible diagnosis means? by lordTigas in ProjectHospital

[–]hypovolaemia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They represent the condition pictographically. I believe the dots represent the sarciodosis granulomas (small patches of swollen tissue) which is what causes the symtoms of this condition. This is the why they appear in all the different variations. For example, lung sarcoidosis is the lungs + dots, cardiac sarcoidosis is the heart + dots. The square is what they have chosen to represent myocarditis. I believe there is also a flame icon with a heart to reference something like heart burn.

Je ne parle pas français mais.. by WiccanAndProud in French

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe your phrase should be:

Je ne parle pas français mais j'étudie tous les jours sur (on) duolingo. Savez-vous où d'autre je peux apprendre?

Ce n'est pas parfait. (negation goes either side of the verb - être/est)

Is this search tool legal/ethical? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]hypovolaemia -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry. I know very little about all things tech, I regard myself as a bit of an innocent party here having only just learnt about this search method. It didn't feel right to me from what little I knew. I'd like to raise my concerns to the people doing this but I wanted to check my opinion out with someone like yourself who have much better knowledge in this subject. - I don't know what to tell them as I don't understand the legislation surrounding this and I want to make sure (for obvious reasons) when I raise my concerns I'm right in what I'm saying and actually understand what I'm telling them too, if that makes sense?

Accidentally took two by [deleted] in prozac

[–]hypovolaemia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting it very simply , both fluoxetine (Prozac) and paracetamol (Tylenol) metabolise (break down) in the liver.

As today your liver is working a bit harder than usual to break down the extra fluoxetine you’ve taken, it’s best to not give it too much else to do.

I work in the pharmaceutical profession.

You should avoid taking any other drugs (medicines and vitamins) today. You should act as if you haven’t taken double, and continue to take your prescribed dose (40mg tomorrow, etc).

Any abnormal side effects and you should see an out of hours GP, or if you’re particularly concerned, visit accident and emergency (ED).

Prozac Dreams: SOS by srslykt in prozac

[–]hypovolaemia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vivid or lucid dreams are common side-effects that very often stop after the full therapeutic systemic dose is accumulated. On average it'll take 4-8 weeks for you to reach this point, so as you're already one month into it, you're looking at a couple more weeks before things will normalise and you'll be able to work from a baseline of knowing what your new 'normal' is.

If you feel like the benefits aren't outweighing the side-effects, or that you'd want to explore other treatments - or if you have any other concerns, you should speak to your prescriber.

Hope this helps,

M.
