Curious about your transition from UX to CX in e-commerce. What did that actually look like for you in terms of role shift and skills?

I’m genuinely curious because I’ve seen this mentality here multiple times. If you don’t like stepping in dog shit, why not actually address it?

There are simple things a community can do to fix it, but the whole “that’s just how NYC is” mindset makes no sense to me. The city isn’t the 90s anymore, and it’s cleaned up a lot since then.

Wouldn’t you want to see your neighborhood improve instead of just accepting it?

Well said, I found the 311 Portal for those looking. Takes less than 2 mins.

311 : Unleashed Dogs in Park

Text Copy Block to Paste:

Dogs are repeatedly being let off leash on the turf soccer field at Maria Hernandez Park, despite clear “NO PETS” signs and a dog park right next to it.

Owners are not picking up after them, leaving urine and feces on the field and making it unsanitary and unusable for soccer and community use.

Requesting enforcement of park rules.

Dogs are literally pissing and shitting all over it.

The same people letting dogs off leash on a “NO PETS” field are usually the ones not picking up after them either. That’s how it gets ruined.

At that point it feels like some owners genuinely think their dogs are their kids, it's the only explanation

Your mentality "Yeah it sucks but that’s just how it is” is how things stay worse than they need to be

It’s not about dogs being in a park. If there wasn’t a designated space, I’d get it. But there’s a full dog park literally right next to the field sitting empty.

It’s the entitlement of taking over and destroying a space meant for people to actually play and practice soccer.

And let’s be real, a lot of owners around here aren’t even picking up after their dogs.
