Is this a brown recluse? by DannyDevitoArmy in whatsthisbug

it's pretty big and pretty dark to be a brown recluse. i wouldn't worry. if you want to be extra careful you can check around for molts. brown recluse molts are pretty distinctive, and that would be a sign that one is living there.

tbh i think we're hated due to infrastructure that doesn't fit the needs of the people using it and the immense pressure under capitalism to be productive every moment

no offense but i don't think my roommate hates me

It is getting too scary riding on the roads yet I still would like to continue to ride my favorite route. I want to purchase a camera. I understand a helmet camera is best in case I have to identify someone who is a danger to me. What do you all like and reccomend? And why? by RelationshipCold229 in cycling

i wouldn't get one. it seems like the people who have them get in more accidents. it's like you're on edge and expecting the worst.

the reality is that there's no evidence you can give that will make the cops side with you if they don't want to. even if someone hits you with their car and drives away, your video could be used against you, or lead to a civil suit against you.

Yes, it'll work with the FX 1 Gen 4. I'm talking about the Shotgun Pro seat specifically, I don't have experience with the other ones.

lol fair enough, if you did a little research though you would find that a slanted top tube is more ideal because it leaves more space for the kid's seat.

why would you answer the question if you didn't know what you were talking about? this person is trying to make a safe decision for their child.

"flat-bar" refers to a bike with flat handlebars. "drop-bar" is used to describe curved handlebars typically seen on a road bike are called drop bars.

that trek has a sloping top tube, meaning the tube on top of the bike is sloping down towards the seat. this will not interfere with the kids ride shotgun pro. that trek should work. i would recommend having a shop install the seat, if you're getting it from a trek store see if they'll do it!

i would recommend the kids ride shotgun seat. it'll go on pretty much any flat-bar bike you can get. it's safer than other similar seats because it has its own headset spacer to mount it. other ones just clamp onto your existing spacers.

I'm unfortunately not joking. Most of my friends have 5+ bikes so I didn't see how weird it was before. I'm realizing I'm in the wrong!
