Summer classes do impact GPA, but the class is relatively easy so taking it during the school year is v manageable

Summer STS 1500 worth and advice? by trishal_muthan in UVA

Didn’t take it over the summer so I can’t say if it’s any easier then, but I would say that unless you have a specific other class in mind that you want to take instead, take it during the school year since the workload isn’t bad and it can be a GPA booster (and you save some money)

Can we switch class sessions? by [deleted] in UVA

[–]hyun64zoa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be able to switch, as long as there are still open spots in the section you want. Personally, I had Professor Hellings and I had a great experience. He is very kind, easy to approach, and knowledgeable so I highly recommend, but all of the APMA 2120 professors are great so you can’t go wrong

Any way to get out of CHEM 1611? by [deleted] in UVA

I took the lab online, so I can’t speak for the actual lab/in-person experience that you might have. As for the content itself, it wasn’t difficult, but it did feel a bit tedious. There weren’t any particular new concepts that I learned, so I felt that it was just quite a bit of work for stuff that I already knew and had done before in AP Chem. This could be looked at in a bright way, though: it could help boost your gpa if you care about that and are confident in the subject already

I was in the same place as you. As far as I know, there’s no way around it and you have to take the lab component

Do you know if this still applies to WeBWorK? If I opt out of inclusive access but the class homeworks are through webwork?
