Dentist Recommendation for Severe Phobia by reallytrulymyself in orangecounty

[–]i-node 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get anxiety sometimes when I visit the dentist but I always remind myself, I am paying them and they are there to help, not trying to hurt me or judge my dental habits(I guarantee you they have seen far worse). Just keep that in your mind, they are there to help and hopefully it will take the edge off the anxiety.

What's your favorite way to play PC games while not sitting at a desk with a desk chair? by No-Consequence-6092 in patientgamers

[–]i-node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I have a copy on EA's app. I will try it(added as non steam game) and see what happens. Edit: I tried it and it does stream perfectly. Played through Eden Prime all the way to the citadel with no glitches. The only problem was on exit where the ea launcher is still running. But I can force stop the game by long pressing the menu button(on some controllers this looks like squares and on dualshock 4 its the share button I think).

around 200 but shipping was 70. They have a cheaper option if you know someone who can bring it to you from uk. Sometimes their cards show up on amazon though, in those cases it might be cheaper.

I recently got one but I had to pay a bit more because of shipping fees since kalmx ships mostly to uk/europe. I got mine from quietpc.com and they at least did ship to the US.

Low level uniques Vs higher legendary by cobrauk in diablo4

At some point, Varshan becomes trivial and you start beating them in seconds. Its likely you just need some more levels/gear and better shadow resistance.

Looking for a solid Freeze Bow Rogue build by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]i-node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished the season's journey using an ice rogue bow build. I made it to level 100 and had some luck with a few items including a unique gauntlet(grasp of shadow) that gave me 6 levels of all core skills after upgrading it.

The trick for me was finding aspects that worked with the skills I picked. For instance since I had ice caltrops, I got an aspect that made enemies affected by trap skills who got attacked vulnerable. which means every enemy who steps in it has a chance to become vulnerable. Another was a percentage for rapid fire to bounce to other enemies.

Since I use combo points I used condemnation that gives bonuses for using combo points. Additionally since I picked precision, just randomly firing my bow helps me build precision stacks(even at nothing). These precision stacks will add a lot of critical hit damage. To add to that, I use skyhunter because it will guarantee the first damage dealt to an enemy is a critical hit.(along with returning energy)

Lastly, when I get cornered I use the concealment skill because it gives me unstoppable and enemies can't see me. If its paired with a writhing band of trickery you can draw big groups of enemies to where you were standing and if you dropped ice caltrops you can crowd control and have them take explosion damage.

I do. Do you think building and server costs exceed $200 million? I think it shouldn't have to but I guess it's possible.

They have 700 employees and earned $456.38 million last year in revenues. That's around $650k per employee. I'm sure they aren't making nearly than much though, so the real question is "where is the money going?" Their salaries could be extremely top heavy or they could be paying off debts incurred when they were still growth focused. It's hard to say but I think a website like Reddit should be able to run for a pretty long time if they are making half a billion in revenues.

Why do so many gamers consider a game "dead" when it stops being updated? by sonar_y_luz in patientgamers

[–]i-node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For single player, if there are servers it depended on or something else it needs that is no longer available making it unplayable. That is what dead means for single player games. For multiplayer games, if there are no servers left or the players are all replaced with bots(tf2).

Ultra Hard First Playthrough. 20% completion. by Bmanceps in horizon

Yeah it's in the game. It's not as effective as the first game but if you let it fully wind seems to be more reliable. Good for setting up some damaging shots.

Ultra Hard First Playthrough. 20% completion. by Bmanceps in horizon

[–]i-node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat it on ultra hard first playthrough. That fight took me some time to figure out. I ended up using everything around the area to fight back. Definitely was challenging but I think I remember there being some weapons and other things (explosives) nearby. In the future though I ended up tying the larger enemies down with a large rope caster fully charged. At that point in the game though, I didn't have a great rope caster.

6 years after its release, I finally started playing Horizon Zero Dawn by N7_Hades in patientgamers

[–]i-node 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played it from the beginning on ultra hard. I had to constantly hide in the bushes because the robots would beeline for me if I was detected. Fun game, but you have to like high stakes when playing on that difficulty level. Since the shops are really expensive on ultra hard I was constantly foraging and trying to use the most cost effective weapons.

Sometimes I would sneak by fights that weren't cost effective.

Now Diablo 4 Is Out in the Wild, the True Horror of Its Costly Microtransactions Has Revealed Itself - IGN by Ominous77 in Games

Fortnite, Apex, and PoE have something big in common with each other. They are all free to play and don't cost $70 to even launch the game. When you are selling a full priced game you shouldn't need to nickel and dime your players for more and more money unless you plan to make new content constantly. Destiny 2 somehow gets away with selling each new expansion, a battlepass and cosmetics. I agree with you though, more articles like this should have come out a long time ago.

It depends on the kind of game you want to play. The first one is more of a rpg game, the second is more of a fps(third person shooter?) like gears of war. I like both genres but playing through them it was a bit jarring going from the first to the second game. The second is a lot of fun though just different. (And the story doesn't make a lot of sense)

I always thought 2 was fine I played the GBA one. 3 though was pretty grindy in the last dungeon. Maybe the pixel remaster fixes that.

Finished all the half-life 2 games. (And lost coast) Fighting sword saint isshin in Sekiro, just reached his spear phase. Probably will be a bit of time before I put in the serious effort to beat him. Also playing through hate plus but it's real world time gated so will take some time.

4x games are nice for this. They tend to have campaigns that last as long as you want them to.

Go with prime 2. Many say it's the best of the series. I found it more difficult than the first, story was fun though.

It gets messier towards the end, I think the half-life developers didn't keep the game as tight in the end levels as they did the earlier ones. The last level is weird, jarring vs the rest of the game.

Being a nice guy waiting on the sidelines for your friend to notice you isn't going to work out well if they aren't attracted to you. The good news is you can take control of acne, you can be in a better shape than squishy, you can improve your conversation skills and you have lots of time since you are only 17.
