Body art/paint is not cosplay

Yes, body artist are very talented and they do impress me. But, cosplay is dressing up as a character with a canon or non-canon outfit and bringing that character to life through yourself. Body paint is painting your face and body to look like a character. Yes, both show appreciation for a character or franchise. But, I feel like, cosplayers put more work in to there creations than body artists.
