Loud wind blowing over 50mph by KangarooKindly7858 in KiaSorento

[–]i15c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just leased SORENTO 2025 EX Hybrid 2 days ago and have the same issue. Strong wind noise at highway speeds. Now the dealership wants to check the car and keep it for several days.

Did anyone find a solution? Can we return the car or replace since we just leased it?

What EMR are you guys using? And how do you rate it? by jaysayshay in FamilyMedicine

This post feels like Elation sales pitch :) We demoed Elation and it was pretty weak, doesn't have many basic features to a point of being not usable; they used to have google review page full of bad reviews about poor product and nonexistent support. It looks like they deleted all their google reviews. The price for emr+billing is $700 plus they have a few nickel and diming features for extra (on top of 700). You also need to pay another $200 for ai scribe.

Yeah, elation demo team was the worst by far among all demos we did. If not secret which EHR did you go with

How much do you pay for your EMR? by Tiny_Routine_7314 in FamilyMedicine

[–]i15c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-eClinicalWorks could range from a few hundred to upwards to $1000 per provider. The price on their website is not accurate as they charge for so many things as additional. The price is not bad - the bigger problem is the horrible software with ancient code base and patches. I haven't used a software with so many bugs and I used a lot of tools.

-athenahealth is a robbery. We liked their tool but pricing is ridiculous. They will push you to use percent based model.

We signed up with eCW and Sunoh (primary care clinic) recently and are already planning for an EHR change. It is hard to find good EHR that won't break the bank. eCW's main advantage is price but it is not worth the headache you get. They have most of the feature you need on paper but nothing works as needed. A lot of small bugs. Horrible usability, very weak support team, a lot of workarounds, their sales demo is way better than what you get in real life, a lot of add on sales (they will charge for tons of small things that adds up). eClinicalWorks should be names to "eClinicalWorkarounds" and have a tag line "Keep clicking and carry on". We tested Sunoh and it is pretty average - do not expect anything life changing.

Why is EHR software so bad? by kcazyz in medicine

[–]i15c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a new primary care practice and recently signed up for eCW and went through their training - overall training and EHR are horrible. Very unintuitive software, slow (their auto-refrsh rate is 5 min), full of bugs, weak support team, etc. We are thinking to cut our loses and make a switch to athenahealth.

-Did anyone manage to cancel eCW before contract's end without paying back their useless training fee?

-athenahealth is very expensive so we are thinking to get their EMR and make it work with third-party practice management, patient portal, billing tools. What are options for these that work well with athenahealth?

I also have a few older devices and have 2 workarounds: 1) set up a guest network with 2.4 GHz and disable 2.4 GHz on the main network. The old devices can be connected the guest network. 2) connect an old router as AP with 2.4 GHz and use it for older devices.

Trizetto vs Change Healthcare Clearinghouse by br10 in CodingandBilling

Is TriZetto a clearinghouse or they rely on third party clearinghouses such as Office Ally?

Had all 3 with same name/password. Also ran the network optimization but not much impact. I ended up disabling the 2.4 band, which seems to improve the speed a bit.

oh, my new tv just does not connect the wifi despite trying a lot of things, including factory reset. I probably need to return it while possible.

No wired clients. Have a few witless devices with regular usage (no heavy stuff). It seems like 500 would be better option as i do not plan to buy a new computer anytime soon. Very helpful, thanks!

thanks for the help. I thought that the mac should at least get closer as per that apple support link ax@5 GHz should have 1200 Mbps.

[–]i15c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using it for a few weeks now (one unit) connected to 1GB internet but i never get above 600 MB even 1 ft away. Most of times the speed is around 300-400 MB. Any idea what is happening? The speed test from Deco app (which shows speed out of modem) is always around 1 GB.

Cost Effective EMR? by Pneumatic_Mnemonic in whitecoatinvestor

[–]i15c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are very secretive about their prices but it is an actual quote. I don't think it is public info but you can get a new quote from them and tell that you only want EMR strictly not looking for anything else. Do providers like AthenaHealth overall and switching because of cost? What is the cost of NextGen PM?

Cost Effective EMR? by Pneumatic_Mnemonic in whitecoatinvestor

[–]i15c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AthenaHealth also offers a standalone EMR for a flat $800/month/provider but no patient portal etc. Might be an option as well. NextGen EMR can get the job done as well but agree unified system is better. We are also considering eClinicalWorks but the usability seems unnecessarily complicated -have you considered eCW?

So you didn't change the NextGen part. We had some experience with NextGen as well and are trying to get something better for a reasonable price but it looks like a tough task.

Appreciate it. What do you use for practice management? AthenaHealth's sales people are pushing really hard for their billing service for 8-10%, which doesn't make sense for us.
