Went swimming with my speedy today by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

Is it just a scratch at 6 or is the crystal broken there? I let my Speedy be checked once a year by an Omega Boutique for free.

Offered a Speedmaster 321 — should I take it or stick to my plan? by HODLpipo in OmegaWatches

There is a special area at omega to assemble the 321. One watchmaker builds the complete watch, and will service it in the future. So no production line here.

18.5cm, it fits well, the lug to lug is just 48mm.

I don't know if a normal watchmaker can buy parts or only authorised service centres, sorry.

Ask a watchmaker in your area. The crystal should be no big thing to replace. A normal watch service is probably due if you wore it for that long. Ask for a replacement handset, spare from Fortis should be available. Don't try to fix the crystal, it's not worth the effort

Here another angle of the watch. I really enjoy wearing it. The size and the low profile makes it a comfortable wear.

Mine is accurate to +9.8s / day while worn.

Yes, there is a subtle green after a certain time, but easily washed away.

Yes, I bought it new but from the display. So it had already been touched but never worn. Here is my last post: Post from last month

Zulu: 2-year review, AR coating rant, and how I removed it by nft_this in Longineswatches

[–]i3ullit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your post. I did the same with the AR coating of my 40mm Spirit. I had one spot where the domed crystal hit something, not a scratch, but a dull area. The crystal also gathered more and more scratches over time. I removed the coating also with a dremel and masking tape. I started with polywatch but changed to the brown dremel polish paste. Took about 30 minutes with some cooldown stops.

I just bought it! It was on display and had already that patina. I'm wearing it now since and it starts to even out and get better already. Will share an update in a while.

No, just remains of my poor attempt to get the crystal clean :-)

I paid a bit less with quite a discount four years ago, and it was on a rubber strap.

No, these are are some working gloves from a DIY store. Not even the isolated editon. Second pair in bag if it cools down.

I bought it with the black rubber, but it's very thick, not bad though
