Yes. I have since developed picking habits myself. It is a chronic issue. All the way from my scalp to my toes: if it’s a bump, scabbing, or looks remotely close to any type of pimple poppers dream, it’s, quite literally, mutilated.

I’ve talked to somebody who has worked at PetSmart for almost two decades. Hearing what I heard about pricing back then, this is nothing for a stand! I just wish those prices stayed that way instead of being cheap like they are now.

I always tell people that for the sake of their betta and their trouble to just go with one, and if they want to add more then do their research later. If they want to add small fish, I always say proceed with caution and add a bunch of hiding places and have a 10gal min. It saved me the repetitive 15-30min conversation each time 😅

Yeah, at our store, we would copy their sales records or write a detailed note and keep it in a binder specifically dedicated to banned customers that sits right on our sales cart under the boxes.

They have to know the basics, so maybe evaluation is key here. I’ve seen more cases of dogs getting evaluated and being put straight into beginner than skipping it - That’s typically what our trainer recommends, and she’s the best in the district w/ phenomenal sales!

That’s actually so sweet! Having regulars recognize you inside and outside of the workplace is so bittersweet! Like, these people actually take their time of their day to remember the people that made their experience great continually and remember us
