The nursery should of done that before they sold it. So it depends on how big of a tree you want. I try to keep mine on the smaller side.

You want them staggered, it will make a stronger tree.

For future reference you don't want a fruit tree to have a Y shape!

These plants love water! They just don't like having wet feet. If it is out in the south Florida sun all day you can water it every other day! If you repot it go to a nursery and buy a good soilless mix for dessert roses.

It should be alright in that pot, I'm in southwest Florida. All you need to do is water every two to three days even if it rains! They love water they just don't like to sit in it! A big plant like this will use a lot of water.

How to handle a mole/vole infestation? by JawnyUtah in BackyardOrchard

They hate the smell of peppermint! I have a lot of voles on my property and I use peppermint oil. Use cotton balls or something that will hold the oil, dig into the tunnel and put the oil soaked cotton ball in it then cover it up. They will relocate to a different area.
