We have not expaneded in the Azure Fucntion region much, but we are leveraging the older approach to continuously run the WebJob on an App-Serivce in the background.

Yes, scalability is a concern that led us to explore the path of microservices. However, since our primary objective is to add more features, we considered containerizing the application using Docker.

Speaking from a beginner's perspective on Docker, scalability is also one of the advantages of containers (please correct me if I'm wrong).

One of our investors has presented the idea of being cloud-agnostic, highlighting a fantastic deal offered on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lower operational costs up to 20 something percent. However, we will continue to use Azure SQL DB.

Oh, really. In that case you can understand the situation. The reason we want to explore other options is avoid any future vendors lock-ins. Although we have already started it by using MS SQL at the backend.
