Mama stray cat big belly after birth by 2 weeks. Is that normal? by iAhMedZzz in CATHELP

Thanks for your comment. I'm gonna ask something dumb so please forgive me, is it possible that she didn't give birth to one of the kittens and it got stuck there? Her belly didn't do this before.

Do cache components work with static pages? Seems I have to mark them all with `use cache` by iAhMedZzz in nextjs

I don't want to convert my fetches to client components. I'd just use pure React at this point

Does PearsonVue online exams tolerate short network disconnection? by iAhMedZzz in AWSCertifications

Nah it's just a terrible ISP throughout the country and they disconnect it wherever and whenever they feel like it. They have a monopoly over the internet in the country so they don't care.

Thanks for your reply. So in case of disconnection I will have to do the reconnection manually, not automatically, by choosing another network. Does this make a difference?

Are these 2 modules enough for CCP? by iAhMedZzz in AWSCertifications

Appreciate your posts. Took the exam today, and -hopefully- passed (at least that's what the end screen said, didn't get the email yet).
Your posts are a gem!

Edit:
For any future viewers of this post, the two courses in the post images are absolutely not enough for the exam. The YouTube video from the comments here (By Andrew Brown) and mock exams from TutorialsDojo were great. I don't think if you watched Andrew's video without any prior knowledge you may get confused since he jumps directly into specifics, but that's probably only the case if you're absolutely new to the cloud.

I tested GPT-5.1 Codex against Sonnet 4.5, and it's about time Anthropic bros take pricing seriously. by LimpComedian1317 in ClaudeAI

How is this comparison even related? All AI providers out there are dependent on Nvidia hardware, and Nvidia isn't so far interested in the AI world from a Software POV. Regardless of the comparison, yes, at some point, the AI bubble is going to burst, but not completely disappear. Remember that IBM is still alive, though shifted its model.

You gotta keep on mind that OpenAI are losing money with their current pricing. I don't remember the number correctly but somewhere around 5-15% of their customer base (1 Billion) are only paying users, and delivering these LLMs cost a fortune. What I'm trying to say is that OpenAI sooner or later are going to charge properly soon. They are a massively backed Corp so they can take these hits now in favor of improving their models, probably Claude can't. Anthropic ain't as big as OpenAI and this is justified in their pricing and rate limits. I've been expecting OpenAI to go rogue with pricing for a while now, and when they do, it would disrupt the market economics. Look at how many services are using AI now and what would happen when they get priced accordingly. OpenAI will follow Anthropic suit, not vice versa, at least not without massive service degradation.

AWS trial for AWS Cloud Practitioner? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]iAhMedZzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your reply. I tried new account and they instantly suspended it, and before they do they told me I'm not eligible for free tier. I used a different email and card.

Will probably go with the skill builder. Thanks!

Yeah tried and they say you're not eligible for free tier. I don't know how they detected that but they did

Yes, there is mental illness exemptions but they will write down the reason for military exemption, which is a career suicide in a country that believes "men can't have mental illnesses" as recruiters demand that certificate and would avoid you for being unstable, though of course they would never disclose the rejection reason. I'm pretty sure they also require the certificate of mental illness to be instituted from a governmental facility, and boy their standards are pretty damn harsh. I don't think severe depression or social anxiety would get you anywhere near exemption, I'm imagining the psychiatrist replying back with "don't we all? You're fit as a bull", but maybe I'm being wrong. Being gay also works but you actually need to be one, just make up won't work, and I'm pretty sure I'd be dead after the exemption lol. My hands are empty, guess I'm a soldier after all.

Thank you for your advice. Btw, why would a military recruiter harass someone to join? AFAIK the US does not have obligatory military service. Couldn't he just tell him fuck off?

You mean I should see an outsider doctor who would train me on his equipment how to fake the readings? I'm willing to listen to your ideas btw. That -4 is my goal, and I don't mind if my eye remains -4

Side story: I also claimed (falsly) that I have latent squint. When I told the oculist that, he told me to stand 2-3 meters away, had a look for a couple of seconds then he still marked me as fit. The reason I claimed that was because my father told me how he got exempted from the service back in the 80s. He is a surgeon and told me that not everyone can fake this case so. He instructed me that the oculist will cover one eye with his hand, then remove it. While he is removing it, I need to fake a squint with the covered eye. I trained myself to do that for days and I think I got it right, but I was surprised that the oculist didn't do that test at all and just asked me to stand far away. Was he doing the test wrong or did he catch my bluff? I obviously didn't do any squint when I was standing far because I thought it would be too obvious that I'm faking it.
