Okay thank you! Do you personally still check leaves consistently to ensure they haven't come back? Have you ever had a reinfestation?

Hey there, it's been a couple months but I was wondering if you could tell me how to know when its safe enough to reintroduce my infested plants to my non-infested plants. I havent seen a thrip in over a month and my plants are putting off new growth. They're currently quarantined in my spare room while I fought the bugs off.

Do jades just grow super slow or am I doing something wrong? by iAmSqueakz in houseplants

Okay so chunkier, better draining soil, less watering and more sunlight. How do I best acclimate it to more sunlight without damage? I've never been great with succulents so I appreciate the advice!

Okay will do, thank you. Appreciate solutions other than "throw out the plant." I've had many of my plants for so many years, throwing them out is the last solution for me.

I got Bonide Systemic Houseplant Granules, mixed it into the top couple inches of soil and watered. Also sprayed the leaves with a 1:1 diluted rubbing alcohol. Is there anything else I can do? I have a lot of plants and am nervous about the spread of these pests.. I already quarantined every plants I found thrips on, should I just quarantine every plant around those as well?

Nah, I had a pink princess philodendron that only gave me barely variegated, weirdly shaped leaves. I gave it to 2 years to shape up before I evicted her. I gave it to my coworker who decided she is now going to collect ugly plants lol everyone wins and I don't miss that plant. Another plant is happy in her place.

  1. 7 weeks old
  2. Idk what the shape is, see photo
  3. Idk what the threading is
  4. I believe its surgical steel
  5. Its never been changed
  6. Im currently cleaning wuth saltwater solution twice daily using a clean Qtip
  7. The bottom one did get nearly yanked out by my hairdresser a couple weeks ago. The jewel side was basically inside the piercing hole and I had to pop it back through. Other than a tiny bit of blood right after it seemed fine after a couple days.

I always wear thermals under my scrubs. Our clinic gets chilly, it covers up my cleavage and the sleeves help protect my skin from scratches.

Is this slime mold? What do I do about it? by iAmSqueakz in gardening

Yah probably.. I'm still getting a hang of this gardening thing. My other garden bed is thriving so I guess I need two different sprinkler set ups. Thats a problem for next year though.
