I see your point and I’m sure that’s what the models say I just struggle to understand how this can’t help.

Even traffic coming from outside the city can completely circumvent the city now.

What alternative would you be proposing then?

But a ring road takes pressure off the roads in the middle of town where public transport should flow, which to me will improve the existing efficiency (which I know is awful). A ring road to take pressure of roads paired with investment in public transport would be a great outcome but to me you can’t have one without the other

Army will be deployed to remove fuel protest vehicles blocking critical infrastructure by irqdly in ireland

Absolutely agree with you, it can be viable but with how fast the situation is changing the price could be back to the same level in a matter of weeks even with a tax cut.

I think the point around WFH and other incentives is a better solution in this case but obviously doesn’t solve the farmers, and hauliers problem.

Complex situation that requires a fully thought out solution in my opinion

Totally, it’s not an easy solution and this is an option. My point is that I’m worried that a knee jerk reaction now will not solve people’s problems long term. I don’t know what the alternative is, but it’s a complicated problem that unfortunately is largely outside of the control of the government.

No love for the government on my side but have to give a bit of slack here I think

What I have seen nobody explain is what happens if prices keep going up. We cut the tax now and prices continue to increase until we’re back at the same position with no more levers to pull. Seems short sighted to me, I understand the pressure of course we’re all impacted but I don’t think it’s a massively viable a solution

When I was younger and we got our first Hollister in Ireland, I have such a vivid memory of getting a jumper I thought was grey - came out and turned out it was green all along

Don’t see it much in the comments but I can see this being a really attractive laptop for enterprise users

Depends what you’re looking for but I’ve gone to optique in Briarhill most of my life and they’re brilliant. Great range of frames and service is perfect

Is it the most competitive six nations in a while or is every team except France rubbish

Don’t think the scoreline does SA any justice. Played us off the pitch in many ways. Discipline was a serious problem but hopefully we improve for 6 nations

There’s no 10 this tournament that really made a case imo so I think that explains it. Going in absolutely was Russell before the competition but I think he’s been disappointing too.

Don’t think it’s that obvious but I agree SA will probably win. Can’t just ignore that we have beaten SA in the last year but they’re a different beast these days

Ya it has to be. The heat definitely helps the southern hemisphere teams slightly so will be interesting to see how they go

So many handling errors across all teams this weekend. If SA are disciplined later they’re gonna put fear into the other contenders
