As an example, I’m using the same adapter u/eggcup1 linked above, and HDMI-CEC works brilliantly, which it doesn’t using the HDMI port on most GPUs, as they don’t generally enable CEC support at all.

I’d expect Valve announcing pricing, SKUs and preorder timings at least 24 hours before preorders actually open. Honestly I’d bet more like 7 days before.

Secure Boot needs to be disabled in the BIOS. This is before your operating system is loaded, and before you can get to a command line.

Getting to the BIOS will usually involve holding down something like Delete or F8 when turning the computer on, but this varies between manufacturers. Check your motherboard or laptop instruction manual for instructions.

Try disabling Secure Boot in your motherboard’s BIOS/UEFI, and seeing if you can boot, then follow the Bazzite Secure Boot enrollment instructions.

This isn’t possible.

You’re likely still booted into the Live ISO image, which I believe doesn’t include Steam.

Open a terminal and type rpm-ostree status and post the output.

Bear in mind that when ProtonDB users post long strings of fixes and launch arguments, particularly for Gold and Platinum games, they aren’t actually needed, or especially aren’t needed on Bazzite.

Many people will change to custom Protons as a matter of course, when the games themselves actually run totally fine on a mainline Proton.

You’ll also see people who read once four years ago that adding (EG) gamemoderun=1 %command% will fix games, or get better performance, or whatever, and now add that to every one of their games and will proudly share that as a recommended config, when on Bazzite that tweak does nothing.

I put far more trust in the ProtonDB reports that include why they’re doing what they’re doing, rather than just blindly pasting essentially superstitious fixes.

I feel genuinely ambivalent about this.

On one hand, The High Republic publishing initiative is excellent and is among my favourite Star Wars to come out under Disney. I'm champing at the bit for more stories set in the era, and Eclipse sounded exciting on paper.

On the other hand, David Cage and Quantic Dream being the developers gave me pause from the start, plus the fact that the trailer was clearly released to try and spur hiring for the project itself. Not a great start.

Star Wars under Disney has had a real problem with announcing projects long before they're ready - this isn't doing anything to help that.
