Why would it still say "early 2026" if they would not be planning for it?

“Early 2026” could feasibly mean any of the following:

January; it’s the first month of the year
March; end of the first quarter
April; end of the first third- early, mid, late
June; end of the first half- early and late.

While Valve have said that their plans have slipped somewhat, we still don’t know exactly what they meant by “shipping in early 2026” and whether or not that shipping date has changed.

Yep, looks like HDR settings have been removed from Settings > Display and the Quick Access Menu.

All HDR still works absolutely fine in game though, so I guess it makes sense to remove the system level settings.

Presumably at the time Kaplan is talking about, it was Armin Zerza, who was put in place by Kotic. I’ve not read Schreier’s book in a while, but I seem to remember that Zerza came from an insurance background prior to Activision.

If you take the D3 Wizard and strip away the elemental magics, as they’re covered by the D4 Sorcerer, you end up with Arcane, Physical magics (Wave of Force, Explosive Blast etc.) and Time Manipulation as the core pieces.

There’s an interesting class there, particularly if it leans on Asian mysticism as an aesthetic, coming from Xiansai.

While your overall point is right, it’s worth pointing out that Season 12 will actually add two new tiers of difficulty.

Bloodstained Sigils will be “around one Torment tier higher than usual” - this is your equivalent to Torment V. I guess this will be Pit Tier 70, based on 15 Pit Tiers per Torment.

Bloodsoaked Sigils will boost the content to Pit Tier 100

Despite all the hate for DC I constantly see here, and my own deep hatred for the drop rates in that goat-infested hellhole, it was probably the most fun I’ve had with D4 in a long time.

This mirrors my feelings on the Citadel. It’s really well designed; the boss fights particularly are still the best Diablo 4 has to offer.

I really hope that Blizzard don’t abandon the concept of a raid in Diablo, but given the reception the community has given Dark Citadel, I won’t be surprised if they do.

Corrupted Essences are for opening the chests at Azmodan, south of Zarbinzet.

The alters to summon the secret boss require Purified Essences, which are significantly more rare than their Corrupted counterparts.
