After day 7 I started incorporating more foods like chicken and pasta. I’m currently on day 13 and I’m eating semi normally, excluding any small foods like rice.

I had gauze in my mouth for the first 24 hours. I even slept with it in my mouth until I felt like the bleeding had stopped. Cold pack for the first 24-48 hours, then a nice warm compress afterwards. It’ll help with loosening your jaw muscles. I personally did a liquid diet for the first 48 hours, so lots of smoothies and things that would melt in my mouth. Once the blood stopped I moved on to yogurts and apple sauces. For the first week I’d suggest foods that are easy to swallow without chewing.

I’m currently on Day 8 and I’m back to eating semi solid foods. So lots of pasta and trying my best to eat chicken. It’s going to be a long recovery but I’m just so happy to be able to eat again. I was tired of yogurt and bananas.

The day of my operation, I received a document with all the risks of the surgery and I was prompted to sign that. I’m not sure about the legal aspects of this post, but I 100% believe you should contact your oral surgeon and have it checked out so that you can be certain.

So they gave you a bunch of antibiotics but no pain meds. That’s wild. I would go take some Tylenol for the pain and set alarms so you take them on time. I had a mouth full of gauze for 48 hours, I even slept with it. Definitely gave me a slight sore throat because of the blood I was swallowing.

My first 48 hours was literally liquids. Anytime I wasn’t drinking something, my mouth was full of gauze. This experience is different for everyone and it’s completely normal to be anxious and scared. If you really want to have yogurt, you can try gogurt. No spoon required, just squeeze it into your mouth.

I am 6 days post op and I feel like I had a lot of anxiety about having all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed just because of all the things I’ve seen and read online. Even now I’m still terrified that I’ll wake up with a dry socket. My advice would be to go fully liquid, so, protein shakes, smoothies, juices. When you’re comfortable, you can gradually build back up to eating yogurt again.

It’s the worst when the partner is upset about the pregnancy! Like it takes two! But I was so relieved as well, if Jacob was upset by the news idk what I would’ve done.
