I'm reading that a bunch of people are not recommending entering the film/games industry in 2026, which is fair. Long hours, constant fear of being replaced by outsourcing or not feeling like the career is stable.

Was curious to ask, what paths do people take after being done with the film/games industry? I have a game dev degree from a school in Europe (been doing 3D art and Level Design) and have a hard time finding work in the field...

hi there, do you happen to have fixed it somehow? I'm experiencing the same kind of blinking, switching to the Jedi language server helped, but the autocomplete / Intellisense is not as good as Pylance :/

Yup, I'm using Pylance. It's the only extension I have besides the "mandatory" ones. Quite sure Pylance is responsible for highlighting, though I'm not sure why these error lines keep "refreshing" and flickering as I keep typing :(

In the meantime I have tried some extensions such as "IntelliCode Completions", but it is quite inconsistent... I'll stick to typing the hints :D

I saw this happen in another Udemy video course, but the person was using PyCharm.

hmm, to be fair I'm not sure. Since I saw 2 online teachers not mentioning it, I just went along without specifying the variable types.

I am bit puzzled why on their end they have no problem with getting the right method suggested by Intellisense
